Regular season is done and now we are fortunate enough to look beyond into the post season.
In Shannys 11 seasons now we have made the playoffs 7 of 11 years.
Coincidentally we have won 7 of 11 playoff games.
Those 7 wins came in the two year span we won back to back Superbowls.
Out of the 11 games we have won 3 out of 4 at home
and have won 4 out of 7 away.
Most should be familiar with our recent history.
96 - Loss at home vs the Jaguars
97 - Won at home vs the Jaguars
97 - Won @ Kansas City
97 - Won @ Pittsburgh
97 - Won Superbowl in San Diego
98 - Won at home vs Dolphins
98 - Won at home vs Jets
98 - Won at Miami vs Atlanta
00 - Loss @ Baltimore
03 - Loss @ Colts
04 - Loss @ Colts
05 - Skies the limit!!!
So of the playoff teams this year we have faced Indy, Jags and Steelers in the post season
This year we have faced the Jags & Pats in the regular season... both wins.
BONUS
*********** Something out of the Jake Plummer Files ********
Regular season stats
In the four seasons after Elway, Griese led us to a 3 game win streak once in 02.
We had a 4 game win streak in 2000 under Frerotte.
2003 Jake led us to 2 four game win streaks
2004 Jake led us to 1 four game win streak
2005 Jake led us to 2 four game win streaks and one five game win streak.
(obviously they were not the only reasons for the streaks... it is a team sport)
In his three years here Jake has thrown 60 TDs and 34 Ints
The 4 years after Elway, Denver had 34 wins
3 years with Plummer, Denver has 33 wins
Jakes win total in Denver is more than we won in 6 years in AZ
Well that is it for the Post season edition,
Wishing Denver once again comes home with the Lombardy Trophy
