I am sick of the adulators' of the Patriots. I can't watch any commentary on the NFL playoffs because they have no respect for the Broncos or Colts (especially ESPN). I remember the last time people ignored the Broncos like this we won Super Bowl XXXII against the Packs. I guess that is the silver lining.

In all fairness, they did win 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls...
But I don't care, if we win the Super Bowl, screw the media.

Nice sig!
The Pats are still considered the team to beat. They are the defending champs after all and did look pretty good against the Jags last night.
As you have pointed out, we were getting no respect before and I didn't expect anything to change this go round. It's what happens on the field of battle that counts.
Whenever the media is brought up in discussion I tend to start getting light headed and shaky. It bothers me so much that so many people are so worried about what the "media" is saying. WHO CARES!!! Let them blab all they want. Sean Salisbury Steak is a prime example. He changes his tune each and every week. These so called expert analysists are nothing more than makeup wearing morons in pretty suits.

The Media hangs too much on the past. It is great the Pats won the last few superbowls, but that doesn't mean they will do it this season.
Besides the Pats shouldn't even be in the playoffs. They didn't win their division everyone else lost it.

No the media goes by proof...and there is proof that the patriots have a ten game playoff winning streak and right now WE stand between ten and eleven.
Why dont the media praise us??? I'll tell you
We get help to even get into the playoffs and get blasted by the colts for two consecutive years, who intern get blasted by the patriots....
therefore if im in the media im saying GO PATRIOTS...but im a Bronco's fan and i am very confident we will beat the patriots....as we did earlier in the year.

Exactly. If we had won the last 2 Super Bowls.. and 3 out of last four.. this Message Board would be lit on FIRE if the media didn't "Give them credit." The people here whine more than Tom Brady about "respect from the media."
The Patriots have EARNED the respect to get the benefit of the doubt. Most people consider them to be the favorites simply because they are the defending Champions, and deserve to be the favorites until they are beaten. The Patriots went 11-5. I don't CARE if they looked bad in the first of the season. They don't look bad NOW, and NOW is all that matters. They continue to win their playoff games, and WE still have to prove we can win ONE.
I think we need to QUIT with the whining about the media "Respect" and wondering why they get all the press. They have EARNED the respect with what they have accomplished in the last years, we have earned the right to be dismissed by what we have.

How do the Colts get no respect? Jesus...everything I read is how they are the best team and manning is the best QB.

The first time we won the superbowl we were expected to lose round after round, and round after round we just kept winning. I see another one of those incredible seasons upon us.

Elaborate please...
They were 5-0 in their division games that mattered(Not counting the final game when the backups played)

nope its a sign that in 96 we came in as a wildcard under the radar nobody even knew about us snuck into the superbowl and when we made it that far nobody even gave us a chance what so ever and thats what we are going to do again

Notice you forget the -1.
I mean that they got in based on a weak division. Other teams made it to 10-6 , but didn't get in.
If the Pats had a good foe they would have been fighting for the wildcard.
Yeah if the REAL surprise would have stepped it up just a tad more.... (Miami) you all would be in some doo-doo

It will play out in one of two ways:
1) Denver beats the pats saturday, all the media and press will be about how the Patriots lost.
2) Denver loses, the media will talk about the pats afc championship plan.

Most people I know thought the Broncos would win that game. Actaully my brother won 10,000 dollars when the Broncos beat the Packers. In fact that Packer team the Broncos beat was much better than the team that beat the Patriots the year before. So if not for that unbelieveable up-set to Jacksonville in 97 the Broncos likey would have put up 3 in a row.
This game will tell us who the Patriots are. If they win no one is going to stop us
unless they get a bunch of fresh injuries. But this will surely be the toughet game of the year on both sides of the field.

First of all, are you kidding me? You're counting the loss to Miami as a real loss? If the Patriots wanted to win the game, the 1st and 2nd stringers wouldn't have sat on the bench.
2nd, who are you to say the Patriots didn't have a good foe? I guess the Broncos didn't have a good foe... Hey, the Dolphins beat the Chargers in their house. The Bills beat the Chiefs... Wait, the Dolphins beat the Broncos also.
The AFC East wasn't such a cake walk.

I cant believe last night when everyone was making their pics on ESPN....Nobody picked the Broncos. ***. I bet Tom Jackson will but who gives a crap who they pick. When we beat the Pats they will pick the Colts. The Broncos must win it all to get the respect then everyone will say "i new Jake had it in him" and call Shanny the mastermind. Who give a crap what they think"
