Thanks for the link. Looks like a lot of people believe the hype of the Pats. After we beat them, they will be jumping off the bandwagon faster than a flea infested dog sprayed with flea powder.
Most of the NFL will be shocked come Saturday night

Turns out that the Jags don't have a decent enough passing game to take advantage of New Englands weak passing defense.

Well have to consider that this is a national poll, in which case most states have only seen and heard the media build the patriots cause. Heck those of us that live in Denver and if not for our own media we wouldnt hear anything about the broncos.

No kidding man....sometimes I feel that the Broncos are so covered in the Rocky Mountain Empire that people sometimes tune out....
But then, this is the biggest game since, well, 1998.
Go Broncos!

I think that the Broncos are very very DISRESPECTED..you never hear them talk about the Broncos...A 13-3 season that was barely talked about....maybe it is better that way.......they need not speak on this team cause words dont need to be spoken they ALL no what this team is capable of.............they show it on the field on gameday.....
GO BRONCOS....down with the PATS.....

That's some cut chit. But, the only way you gain respect is to earn it, and we're going to be the underdogs throughout these playoffs, but we have to overlook the haters and play football, it's as simple as that. We can do this, we just have to have our mindset on winning and not what the haters are saying, simple as that.
What the poll shows is that people simply regurgitate what the media tells them. Tom Brady says the patriots are disrespected, then people think they are disrespected. You can't really fault people for how they vote because no one knows anything about Denver at all. So let's quietly blow out the patriots on saturday night.

That was the regular season with a bunch of Patriot players out. They are close to full strength now. Patriots step it up in the playoffs. AKA 11 wins in a row!!!
Will be a close game but Patriots win by 6

Yes, Denver already beat the Pats this year. I'm not looking to make excuses or anything, but I think most football fans will tell you the Pats are 1) an entirely different breed of team come postseason and 2) a completely different team than when you faced them earlier in the year. Bruschi did not play, our now first string RB Kevin Faulk did not play, and Richard Seymour was inactive. Our secondary is full of faces that you didn't see earlier in the year: Ellis Hobbs has been a phenomonal rookie in the secondary, Artrell Hawkins has been a key addition, and we saw a hint of Troy Brown in the secondary against Jacksonville :)
I still think Plummer will not be "threatened" because he is a great QB, but the Pats will not give up the big plays like they gave up last game.

Denver is a much better team than they were too when they last played the pats. instead of 5 or 6 games together , they now have 16 and most people say how the Pats have peaked (against these low ranked teams) , but the BRONCOS have really peaked against the GOOD teams. The team is on a roll and they are now healthy with D. Williams coming back so lets roll and see what the OVERRATED Pats have.

You are right that the Pats have, for the most part, peaked against sub-par teams. However, their best performance, offensively and defensively, came against the Bucs--a team with a great running game and best defense in the game. The Pats completely shut down Cadillac and tore the best defense in the game apart.
I understand your point(s) and think they are valid. All I am saying, while the Broncos may be a better team, too, the Pats in the playoffs are just not the same as the "regular season Patriots." :)

come back with some facts if you want to prove me wrong...not some silly smiley face. If your looking for stats to prove me right I will give you plenty but it shouldnt take that....just some actual football knowledge

STATISTICALLY the best defense (that is what the link was for). I see what you are saying, though. Often times the stats don't measure intensity, performance, etc.

sorry but yards per game doesnt make them them best defense. You can give a ton of yards and not let a team score. Take a look at the bears points allowed versus the bucs. That will tell you.
points win games not yards

O.K.
Either way the Pats put more yards and more points on the board than ONE of the top defenses was accustomed to.
Better?

The Broncos are a great team this year and it blows my mind how no one gives them any respect. BUT, at the end of the day, the Patriots have won 2 Super Bowls in a row and 3 out of the last 4. That deserves some respect from everyone. I'm as sick as everyone else how the media portrays the Patriots, but you can't say that it is not well deserved.
The Patriots scare me. They have won 10 playoff games in a row. Why we are even talking about the regular season here is ridiculous. Regular season means nothing. The Patriots are a scary playoff team and we need to realize that. Yes, I think Denver is a better team than NE, but we've done nothing but talk the talk. NE has walked the walk for the last 4 years. It will be a great statement that the Broncos are back after we win this game.

Great post. That from a Pats fan. The Broncos were the better team in the regular season, but the Pats are just nowhere near the same team in the playoffs, as you said.
As for the media portraying them and the whole respect thing, it is my own opinion that Brady and Co. mention the lack of respect as a way to fuel the team. Even though the media does portray them as untouchables, they say they are disrespected as extra motivation for the team. That is why Brady mentioned it a while back, IMO. If you listen to the Patriots after every win, they will say: "Nobody thought we could do it." While that isn't entirely true, there are always some who said they wouldn't win and the Pats use that as an extra drive.
