I actually think it would be kinda cool.
I don't want a prosthetic foot.
I'd rather have a peg.
There's all sorts of things you can do with a peg leg.
I'd have a bunch of peg legs that were made out of wood and all nice and carved real pretty. Like a bunch of coffee table legs or something.
You could have ones made out of aluminium or stainless steel or even GLASS! That would be cool.
You could have one that kinda looks like a cool pool cue!
You could have one that has a shock absorber on it or maybe even a gun barrel. You could shot bad guys with your kicks!
The possiblity's are endless.
So in summary, if I were to have my lower leg lopped off, don't give me a prosthetic foot.
Give me a peg leg!

Heck, the peg leg itself could be a bat! Get the Louisville Slugger Company to make a special peg leg/bat/hidey place.
Get it polished to a high sheen, with "Slugger" in black letters up the side...

I dunno. Ninjas wear black, which is very slimming. And they are very fast. HIYA! Though pirates can wear some pretty cool shirts and short pants. Plus they get a pet bird that could dive bomb an enemy at any time.
Now a ninja with a peg leg could be really dangerous!

I'm gonna cut off my leg, take karate lessons, and do wetwork for the foreign service. I'll be unstoppable.

not to get off the threads subject but this made me think of something that happened in KC last year...
2 guys went into a store to rob it...think it was an auto parts store...anyway one

That DOES relate! Peglegs are untraceable.
If you have one leg and you want to commit the perfect crime, you need an assortment of peglegs. One to commit the crime in, and one to put on if you're brought in for questioning.
