I have just been hired to coach there!

I would have control over the 5th-6th grade boys team, the 7th-8th grade boys team, and the HS team.

The HS team hasn't won a game in 3 years, at least that is what the superintendent told me.

I will be teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry with two practice periods(5th-8th grade is one period, HS the other) and possibly a elementary PE hour or the 5th-8th grade girls basketball.

Go Hanna Dragons!!!

Wow heres to a state championship to you guys :D

But coaching elementary middle school and high school is going to be tough!

Maybe thats the reason the last coach didn't win anything for highschool

I'm betting it has more to do with coaching philosophy.

Or maybe the fact that we only have 34 students in the entire high school.

Given that you're about to become a high school basketball coach, here are a few tips for your kids:

1.) Ball goes in the basket from the top. Throwing it through the bottom doesn't count.
2.) You can only score in one basket. The other one belongs to the other team. This may be confusing, but it's true.
3.) Getting one basket doesn't mean you win.
4.) You're allowed to get in the way of the other team's players.
5.) If the other team throws the ball and you catch it, they're not "out."
6.) You can move without bouncing the ball, but only when you're not the one holding it.

:D

I'd be a wonderful basketball coach, as you can tell.

In all seriousness, congratulations! To many victories!

I'm gonna laugh if I hear about a team losing 112-0 in Oklahoma in the near future.

By the way, be sure to teach those kids why being a good mathematician means being a lazy mathematician.
