I know there's already a UFC thread, but I want this one specifically for The Ultimate Fighter.
Who do you think is going to win? Which team do you prefer? Trainer?
Personally, I favor team shamrock, though I want Matt Hammil to win...him or Michael Bisping

Before the start of this episode, I didn't care for Tito too much. He was a punk in my opinion, and it hasn't totally changed, but he's definitely showing something. He really cares about the fighters, I respect that

Yea I dont think much of Tito but he has definitely matured and that has been evident in the way he has coached them

I think Tito in the ring is a lot different than Tito outside of the ring. Tito seems like a great guy, and if I were in this competition, I would certainly rather be a part of his team than Shamrock's. I think that team Ortiz has the best shot at getting more competitors into the semifinals.
As an aside, I'm glad that Jesse got eliminated. He was a complete punk, and while Noah seems like a bit of a suckup, he also seems like he's the better man of the two.
Go Team Punishment!

Agreed on all points. After watching Tito the last two episodes, I think he is a different person outside of the ring. Not the punk that he always acts like. I respect him more for being such a good coach to all the kids.
Also happy with Jesse getting eliminated. You don't go around destroying people's personal property. I lost a lot of respect from Shamrock's team when they did that.
I just got my mouthpiece in today. I had to get it custom made, but I had it modeled after Andrei Arlovski's fang mouthpiece. The thing is wicked, I highly reccomend getting a custom mouthpiece if anyone ever needs one

Sweet! Arlovski looks like a monster with that thing in. How cool!
Yeah, the thing with the basketball was pretty much what made me write Jesse off. I mean, he came off as a little jerk to begin with, but before he did that I was pretty ambivalent towards who won that fight. But when he got the steakknife out and stabbed it, any respect that I had for him was gone.
One thing I've got a problem with on Team Punishment was Ortiz's decision to have a night training session the night before the fight. Noah should have sat out, at very least. Oh well. At least he won with that armbar.

Sorry, I haven't really been keeping up, but I heard something about a ORTIZ vs SHAMROCK fight at the end of this.
Is this true?
If so, I will definitely be pullin' for Tito...

Hell yeah I am. I'm meeting up with some friends at Hooters tonight to watch it. They show it for free, and all you have to do is buy something. No problem there. :)

I'm so mad about the Arlovski/Sylvia fight. Normally I would never say this about a fight, because I know they're both good and they're both professionally trained and all that. But Sylvia got LUCKY. Andrei had him rocked, I don't think Sylvia even knew where he was. That wild swinging uppercut was a lot of luck...9 times out of ten, Arlovski wins that fight. I hope there's another rematch.
And Forrest Griffin got screwed as well, those last two rounds, he won both. But of course, Tito was the hometown favorite

After watching UFC Unleashed which has basically been Royce Gracie fights...I really can't imagine him beating Matt Hughes. He's extremely one dimensional, and he fights in a very dirty way by today standards

Chalk up another one for team Ortiz. I think Bisping's got a great shot at winning this whole thing. His stand up game is great, and he actually looked pretty good at escaping the takedown. He worked well from underneath, but I don't think Kristian did a very good job of exercising control once it went to the mat. The knee strike to the head definitely was the difference maker - Bisping had the definite advantage as soon as the blood started flowing. Not a great fight, but it was what I wanted to see happen! :D

Great post. I agree with everything you said about the fight. I think Bisping definitely has a shot at going all the way. As they said on the show, I think his biggest challenge will be Matt. Matt is a great wrestler, and from what I can tell, his stand up game is also very sound.
Once I saw the blood pouring from Kristian's head, I knew it was over. That's hard to come back from, especially when the adrenaline wears out. I liked Kristian, but I had a strong feeling he couldn't take Michael.

So much for Team Dagger.
I thought that Rory's lack of confidence was going to be a problem for him, but Team Shamrock hasn't done a good job of building their members' stamina, and it's obviously what did Solomon in. He was tired, and if he had caught his breath sufficiently before round 2 began, there's no way that kick to the head would have done him in. As it is, Ortiz continues to show he's the better trainer.
It's too bad. I liked Solomon, but as anyone who knows me could guess, I root for the guy with the best smack. :D
Go Team Punishment!

No doubt, Solomon would have beaten Rory if his cardio would have been better. I don't think Rory is going to get past the semi's, his ground game isn't all that great and neither is his striking
I really hope it isn't Michael Bisping that's leaving in the next episode, I'll be disappointed. He could win it all

GOd that was BS....
Solomon is soooo much better than Rory it wasnt even funny....
He just got caught with a knee/kick and got ripped off.
When someone leaves i hope its a middlewieght and they bring someone back like they did in UF series 1, meaning bring back SOLOMON, for getting so unlucky in that fight ;)

That was actually a good episode.
I'm a little frustrated that we didn't get to see a fight, and while I don't agree with Noah's decision, I'm not going to judge him. The others guy may not understand how he feels, and I think he was treated a little unfairly. But you don't sign up for that if you can't go all the way through.
How came back? It's obviously someone from Team Shamrock, but I'm dieing to know who.

That was bull, if you ask me.
Tait matched his striking game, shockingly enough, and he domoniated the ground. Josh should not have won and I think even Tito knows that, regardless of what he says

While I agree that it was bull, I had that fight scored a draw. That definitely needed to go a third round. I disagree that Tait matched the stand-up fight, and I think that Josh did a better than expected job of staying off his back. Tait needed to shoot on Josh instead of trying to get a takedown out of the clinch. Tait failed to listen to his corner, and you have to wonder whether that caused him to lose that match.
I wanted a third round, because that was a hell of a scrap!

I agree with most of what you posted. I meant that if the decision should have been for either of them, it should have been for Tait. I do think there should have been another round to determine it. Josh did do better on the striking game, but I think Tait did better than expected
And I also agree that he didn't listen to Shamrock as well as he should have. Shamrock was giving him the keys to victory and he just didn't follow through. While I can't say for certain, I think Tait would have submitted him if there was another round.

Alright guys, 45 minutes and counting until the Ultimate Fighter comes on. Predictions for this week? It's Danny vs. Ed, by the way.
I'm going with Ed. He makes Ortiz pay for not picking him.
