I know we already have an NBA thread but I thought it would be necessary to start a thread mainly for the NBA Playoffs. The first round matchups are as follows:

East-

(1)DET vs (8)MIL

(2)MIA vs (7)CHI

(3)NJ vs (6)IND

(4)CLE vs (5)WAS

West-

(1)SA vs (8)SAC

(2)PHO vs (7)Kobe....I mean LAL

(3)DEN vs (6)LAC

(4)DAL vs (5)MEM

You know we have an NBA thread but you make another? That makes sense.

Do you need attention? Does creating superfluous threads fill that void?

You can act like you are a superior poster because of your post count, but truth be told we don't need another NBA thread. Plus, you can "flame" me all you want big bad mr. "veteran"... I brought you down in one debate i'm quite sure I can handle myself effectively.

Edit: You've posted for a whole FOUR MONTHS more than me! You must like, have more knowledge than a Ivy league professor!

First of all, I won that debate, clearly.

Second of all, it's *an* ivy league professor, and since we're both bronco fans, I don't know why you keep seeking out my posts and insulting them, seems like Troll-like symptoms to me, seriously, we're both rooting for the same team on the same board, and I've said this to other posters as well. There's really no point in creating some rivarly between us...

Uh, not even close. You've been losing this debate for the past several weeks.

We'll know in a week or so and either you can say you told us so, we can say we told YOU so, or Kobe minions will come out of the woodwork.

Second of all, it's *an* ivy league professor,

Actually, its an *Ivy League* professor...

Nuggets are down 0-2 in the series against the Clippers, and I just saw on the scroll across the bottom of sporstcenter that they suspended Kenyan Martin indefinatly for conduct detrimentale to the team....

Okay I'm going to call a few things tonight.

First, the Suns will win, despite having to go 5-8. Raja Bell will get 'called' for two fouls against Kobe in the first 3 minutes of the game, taking the Suns best defender out of the game. Kobe will take 40 plus shots, despite the fact that the announcing team will be slowing him down all night by desperately hanging on to his jock.

Bolstered by at least one very early leak that he's won his second straight MVP, Nash will go off!

No, Kobe will step up his game big time and come up with the win, but if he doesn't score 30 or more the suns will almost certainly win this one unless Odom or some other role players on the lakers have a big game.

The mavs will win a close one with the grizzlies, howard will have a big game and as usual so will Dirk. The defense should get going and Avery will be pumped up for sure after his coach of the year award!

And as for the pistons and the bucks, need I say anything... :coffee:

After watching the first game I am convinced that the Lakers can definetly take the Suns tonight. In game one, Kobe used the Suns aggressiveness against them, to set up his teammates. It almost worked. Tonight your going to see the opposite. Kobe is going to send a message right from the get go.
The one thing I saw in game one that did not bode well for Pheonix, was that for the first time in two seasons, the Lakers rotated on defense and closed out.
If Kobe goes for less than 36 in this game, I'll be amazed. Expect him to score in the 40's.

Time for the mavs to do their thing again tonight, I'm predicting mavs in five...

Got to love the Heat going down to the Bulls. Miami is just finding out what we here in LA know about Shaq's work ethic.

Can't wait until I see Dirk holding up the NBA finals MVP and the NBA chamionsip, that's gonna be sweet!

Mavs are playing like they did when they won 14 straight in January, Dirk is at the top of his game and the defense is really stepping up, looking forward to a Detriot-Dallas matchup, should be fun!
