I love this matchup and think the Avs will benefit from it. Theodore is now getting comfortable with how the Avs play day and is in turn playing better.

I find it ironic that we let selanne go last year and now we are playing against him. He had nothing but good things to say about the Avs which was cool to hear

I knew the ducks were going to tear the avalanche a new *******. The way the ducks manhandled us kings, I just knew the Avs wouldnt have a chance against them damn ducks. Oh well CP's coming my way I think :smug: I expect the rest of the series to be this lopsided.

Bring him on. Sean is my favorite King, he is a very cool guy but mean as hell on the ice. I really hope the Kings organization doesnt screw up by not signing him. He is explosive on the ice and really does make a difference.

Avalanche played like crap, pure and simple.

The refs did a terrible, terrible job as well -- but honestly, I don't think it mattered.

that goal by teemu was unfreakinbelievable. that one and the one that wasnt allowed for some bogus reason against calgary are two of the nicest backhand goals i have ever seen.

I don't think so but him getting the surgery on his knee last year was a huge help.

the avs suck a$$, i am so freakin pissed, we are slow, playing like shista, no one is skating, and the worst is we keep turining the puckover in the DEFENSIVE zone. you could play highschoolers and if you turn the puck over in the zone- you will Fing lose!!!!

Here's a novel idea to jumpstart the powerplay... SHOOT THE PUCK :duh:

I don't know how many chances I saw the Avs pass up looking for the perfect pass and shot on their 5 on 3 pp... The only way to beat a hot goaltender is to throw everything at the net and look for sloppy deflections, putbacks etc... I hope they drill that point home during the intermission...

Theodore needs to hold steady until the Avs can find some offense...

tomorrow you should go to the best chinese restaraunt near your house and get an order of bar-b-que duck. its delicious and it might help take the sting off.

look on the bright side avs fans. you had a better run than expected. it sucks to get swept, but thats life sometimes. theodore showed flashes that he could regain his form next season. wolski looks like he might step in and be able to contribute next year as well.

the negatives are that sakic and blake are both unrestricted free agents, but the postive to that is they were tying up a lot of cap space this year. if they do come back, it will probably be at a better cap figure. and if they dont, you have a lot of free money to sign some replacements.

and at least this way, there is some marginal nhl markets making a run. that could be good in getting a national contract down the road a bit.

Well sorry Av fans, I knew the ducks were going to take this thing (Just not a sweep). You guys had a good season!! Us Kings were getting stung all season. At least you guys had a couple of extra weeks of hockey. Hopefully those damn ducks can represent southern cali in the finals! Look out for the Kings next season. ;)
