Photoshop Programs?

Does anyone know of a free or cheap version of Photoshop or whatever programs some of you sig makers use? I'd like to create better sigs but don't have the stuff to make them with and was wondering where to find these programs you guys use.

I use GIMP 2.2 and you can dowload it free on the internet. Its a really cool program.

Yeah I got that about a month ago. It's quite good isn't it and there's quite a few tutorials that you can get on the internet for making sigs with it.

I dunno, iv never used a sig tutorial before, but maybe on the web site for it?

There are quite a few tutorials to be found simply by doing a search in google.

Lol. All you need is the patience to figure out the different stuff and the time to play around with it a little. After a while you will start to get good and learn different techniques.

You're absolutely right but unfortunately oodles of patience is not something I've been blessed with. I will sit out one day and try and figure it out a bit more. The results probably won't be that good but if I have fun, who cares!

Exactly, and the more you practice the better youll get.

I got gimp awhile ago and I hate it. The tutorials are confusing and the sigs don't come out that well. I use Photo Explosion. It doesn't have as many effects as Photoshop does, but it gets the job done pretty well. It's only $50 (compared to the $150-200 you'll spend on a photoshop program). But when I got it, we had a $10 off coupon and a $20 mail in rebate, so I only spent $20 on it. Quite a bargain.

Why would you want 7 which is 2 versions ago? (CS=8.0, CS2=9.0 - both of which are listed.)
