My friend has this kid. He was aleep when I went over to visit last night, but he woke up before I left. He is the cutest, funniest little 7 year old I have ever met.
His mom says that he's really hyper, but this kid is so cool! What a little flirt! This kid has game. He ended-up snuggling on the chair with me.
So the thought of having one later on down the road (MUCH LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD) doesn't seem like a bad thing. I think I'll steal this one. That way I don't have to change diapers.
UDATE....Here is a picture (http://myspace-483.vo.llnwd.net/00852/38/42/852122483_m.jpg) of the little thief who stole my heart.

kids are awesome. I have two baby brothers , Sean is 8 and kyle is 6. We went out to eat at a chinese restaurant and I taught kyle to say 'whats up homie". He proceeded to run around the place telling everyone whats up homie.

I'm telling you TDK, this kid is great.
Like a little adult. So smart. So sarcastic.
Yet he wasn't disrespectful at all towards his mother or me.
He said to me as he took my hand "So, what do you do?"
I said "I play drums and guitar"
He said "That rocks, man"
And he threw the "MAN" in there. He was all casual and stuff about it.
He is sooo cool. I laugh just thinking about it.

Yeh...it's gonna pass just as soon as I get behind some spoiled brat in the store and they follow me around while the kids screams about not getting fudge rounds.
I know, I know.....
But this kid is an exception to the rule, trust me.
I DON'T WANT A BABY NOW.
I just hope if I ever do, it's just like this kid.
He gives the "rock on" sign and everything.

LT it is never too late. I never did not like children, I just was sometimes impatient thats all. I was young and as I have gotten older and with Matthew's condition, it is easy to learn to adjust. We all grow up at some point and I did in my late 20s :D
You will see someday Mr Tryton. :D Just ask Red I am sure you probably already do with your nephew.

Excellent point Med. He is right LT. Of course a nephew is completely different from a child of your own. I didnt grow up (some would say that I still haven't) until I was 33 to be exact. Having a child is the greatest feeling in the world. And, when it happens to you Lt you will understand what we are talking about. The old guys do know a few things.

I never meant it that way... I simply meant that at that point, you no longer have a choice as to whether or not you're going to like children.
I have nothing against children... I love my Nephew more than anybody in my family and I miss him horribly.
Believe it or not, when I was younger I thought I would already be well on my way to starting a family at this age. Life isn't perfect. Who knows now?

I completely agree with you Med. On all points. LT you will be a great father someday. We (I) didnt mean to say you weren't "grownup". It is just that when you have a child your perspective on everything changes. Ask anyone on this forum who has children. Even your sister. It will amaze you what children do to you. The decisions and choices you make will, well to be honest kinda freak you out a little at first. It did me anyways. I would make a decision and then it would hit me that I would not of made that one before I had a child. It actually still freaks me out a little even to this day sometimes.

Just meant where is it along the way that we stop loving people just because? Where do we get the idea from that people have to earn our love? What happened to loving people just because? When does it become so hard for us to allow ourselves to love people?

I've always had a soft spot for kids. When I was young it was babysitting. My ex said that is part of the reason he got with me. After watching me interact with them, he said that he knew I was the one. My kids give me every joy worth living. I wake up to 2 gorgeous little smiles every morning. heck, without my kids, I think life would be pretty boring.
I love kids, just not to much of them. When I don't have to baby sit and put up with crying or diapers I don't mind them at all. But if I have to spend a lot of time with one I want to strangle them.
