Ok the last two weeks I have been hearing on sports radio should baseball celebrate it when he hits #715 or 716 and beats Babe's record. Well, I will probley shock many people when I say this, but I think they should honor this. He cheated by taking steroids. Really who the heck has not cheated, from corked bats to pitches skuffing the ball to players shaving points. Just because someone did not get caught does not mean they did not cheat. That does not make a player guilty, but you get my point. I knew Mark Mcguire was jucing long before cansco came out with his book. A person who knows the trade inside and out knows pretty much who is using and who is not. With that said should we celebrate Barry Bonds or not?

This shows how immortal Babe Ruth really is.
Imagine if Babe Ruth had 744 and Hank Aaron had 714. Would we even consider celebrating Bonds passing Aaron? Probably not. Aaron is a legend, but Babe is THE Legend. But with that said, why celebrate making it to second place, we might as well throw the Seahawks a party. Granted it's Babe Ruth and it is a historic feat, but it's already been done. I don't care if he took 'roids. If it was such a problem, why didn't baseball do something about it back then? So Barry, while old enough to make his own decisions, is not 100% at fault because his optionswere limitless.
It is sort of ironic that next year, Barry Bonds might break Hank Aaron's record... in a Yankee uniform. If he signs with the pinstripes, I'm going to every damn game.
Oh, to answer your question: No.

As much as I Hate Barry (even before roids) I would not celebrate 715 as it is not the record. If and when he gets 756 then celbrate with a golf clap.

Babe Ruth was the best baseball player, EVER.
The fact that some arrogant, rude, mean CHEATER is going to pass him has to be the worst news I've ever heard.
Celebrate? Absolutely not.
If I were there I'd be booing as loud as possible, holding up a cheater sign, and even maybe attempt to throw things at him.
Not only does Bonds deserve NO applause, but I'd be thrilled if the entire stadium was just plain silent.
Here's to bonds failing miserably
