Yes as you can tell by my avy and my sigs that I am biased in this series. I believe all the fans of the new NHL will enjoy this series. These are two teams with great speed and can win defensive games as well as both goalies Ward for Carolina and Miller for Buffalo have been on fire. I think what will put Carolina barely over the top is the leadership of Rod BrindAmour and talent of Eric Staal.
Buffalo is playing awesome as well with Cris Drury (why did Colorado ever trade this guy  ) and Daniel Briere leading the way as well

I say Canes in 7 in possibly one of the best series since the trap era of 1995-2004

Sorry Med, Buffalo took game one, As far as Colorado trading Drury, I still want to know the answer to that one myself

At least Carolina bounced back last night and looked very good. Ray Whitney was outstanding. I think this is going to be a very long series.

Go Canes.

BTW BrindAmour was something like 22 for 28 in faceoffs at one point last night. That was awesome.

Thanks Broncofreak

but as I can tell from the overwhelming response that no one cares about this series except me. :jawdrop:

Last night Carolina played a dumb game. They were undisciplined and deserved to lose. Although they played a good 3rd period to hopefully spurn them on for Fridays game.

I just do not want their season to end prematurely. I do believe they have the talent to win the Cup and I am being unbiased. Buffalo also has the talent to win as well. Daniel Briere was outstanding and Ryan Miller saved their bacon last night.

the buff-lina series is gonna be very tough for either team. I hope lina goes though

The problem with hockey this year does not lie with the NHL but rather the only way to see a game on TV is OLN. I know nbc or cbs would televise one or two playoff games but thats still ludicris. ESPN better pick up the season next year or else im gonna be ticked

heres to you media :cheeky:

armed do you get OLN  I hope the Canes stop playing as if thier skates are tied together and taking too many :duh: penalities.

They will bounce back hopefully. Unfortunatley OLN has next year as well.

NBC will telecast games 3-7 in the Finals and hopefully the Canes are against Edmonton as that would be one hell of a series.

yeah but it shouldnt be that much for someone to buy them off OLN. At least they dont have all the games at the same time (like how they do the NFL games) in the playoffs

Tonights game is a huge momemtum swing, Hopefully the Canes can get the job done. I fully expect Staal, Cullen, BrindAmour and Weight to step up their game and get the job done. :heh:

Buffalo has a bad break where one of their top defenseman is out for the playoffs
Tallider out for the playoffs (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AgLZ44tgFR8cIOFAsFsAb1V7vLYF?slug=ap-sabres-tallinderout&prov=ap&type=lgns)

This cant help them. Injuries suck in big games.

Well at least I got 3 of the names correct as Staal, Weight and BrindAmour all had good games either with scoring (Staal) or on faceoffs (BrindAmour). Who would have thought that Martin Gerber would get the start and get a shoutout. This game was excellent and this series has actually lived up to expectations.

I love the way this team fights. The Canes down 3-1 and Laviolette has the guts to pull the goalie fight back with excellent goals by Recchi and BrindAmour (what a blast that was!) and Cam Ward stands on his head by making 3 HUGE saves in the last couple of minutes of the 3rd and two unbeliveable ones in OT and the bouce of the backboards to Stillman who scores.

One more win to the Finals and I can feel it.

Also congrats to the Oilers and Sergi Samsonov (dumb Bruins) they derserve it.

I can't believe the way Lindy Ruff is crying about this game. He says the Canes are divers and complainers. All he has to do is look at the total power plays in the Series and it is pretty even.

Here is the artilcle if anyone is interested (http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/articles/2006/05/30/sabres_trailing_not_worrying/)

Buffalo came out flying in the 1st tonight and dominated the period. They seemed to want it more. Although Car played better in per 2-3. Ryan Miller and Cam Ward were both outstanding tonight.

Game 7 on Thursday and I hope :ugh: The Canes can come through for me. I think this is the most talented team they have ever had in their history since 1979. Please do not blow it.

Thanks South. Lets go Canes and win your first game 7 in your history. Buffalo is 1-4 in theirs with the loan win vs Ottawa in 1997.
They have lost to the Bruins in 1983 and 1992, NY Islanders in 1977, and Pittsburgh in 2001.

The Hartford Whalers lost to Montreal in 1986 in ot vs Montreal, 1992 in ot vs Montreal and 1990 vs the Bruins. Note all games for the Whalers/Canes were on the road.

Thursday will be the first time in their history since 1979-1980 that they get to play a game 7 at Home.

I just hope they come out better than last night and let the chips fall where they may.

Canes 4 Buffalo 3 in another heart stopper.

 my sides hurt from that.

The Canes were the resilent team tonight. They dominated through 2, but were losing on a crap goal at the end of the 2nd. This is how this team was all year. Ryan Miller was outstanding for Buffalo. D Weight, BrindAmour and williams upped their game to another level in the 3rd and came through.

On to the Finals :salute:

Funny you should say that SI put this article to prove your point (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_blogs/nhl/cup_blog/2006/2006/06/buffalo-curse-lives-on.html)

I shed no tears for the whiney Lindy Ruff. :D
