Will Ashley Lelie be present at Training camp?
Let's get some opinions.
I say, "No."

To be quite honest, I'm really not sure. Truth be told, he'd definitely improve our receiving corps, but there's a really strong chance a player with potential (who would be happy to play in Denver) would be cut. I already gave my predictions in the other thread if Lelie came back or didn't come back. . . but let's just say he doesn't -- you know damn well he's gone in Free Agency. There isn't a snowball's chance in Hell he re-signs here in Denver.

True, hopefully we can get some value from him in the instance he doesn't show up. I feel generally the same way as you about what would happen if he did show up. I would not want one of our guys who is trying to be cut.
Oh well, atleast you know why I added the 'not sure' option.

He will be. Unless he thinks sitting out a year will increase his earning potential when he's a FA.

What could change Lelie's mind is how much the team can fine him a day for holding out, we assume six thousand a day, but according to the new CBA -- teams can fine up to 14,000 a day for hold outs. Wow, that's a lot of moolah. :goofy:
NFL | Fines for holding out increased

Ron Borges, of the Boston Globe, reports the NFL's collective bargaining agreement has raised the limit NFL teams can fine a signed player holding out of training camp all the way to $14,000 per day.

i see it like this...
if we do not trade him by training camp or get any reasonable intrest, he will show up midway through
if we do find good intrest and a trade looks like it will happen sometime ( maybe even the second week of regular season or whatever) he will get wind of it, he will find out, and thus think he will get traded and will not show up at all
so if there is no trade talks that might actually happen i think he just might show up halfway thru

if he doesnt he could become another freddie mitchell and be out of the nfl. his stock would drop alot if he doesnt show.
and plus i dont think he wants to pay that much money

I don't think he will, but I wish he would. If Javon is healthy, and Lelie shows, we would have an excellent WR corp.

The answer is yes, he will appear at Training Camp. But not the Broncos training camp. He will be dealt before that even starts.

He won't be. Unless he thinks being third on the depth chart, and risking injury in a contract year, will increase his earning potential when he's a FA.

THE EAGLES NEED A LANDING
The other team in the market for a receiver is the Philadelphia Eagles. Already thin at the receiver spot, the Eagles have watched two of their most seasoned wideouts, Todd Pinkston and Reggie Brown, battle nagging injuries throughout training camp. Pinkston has experienced soreness in his Achilles, and Brown tightness in his hamstring.
Knowing this, the Eagles closely are monitoring the availability of Denver's disgruntled wide receiver Ashley Lelie. The Eagles could act on Lelie at any moment, though to date, they have not offered enough to the Broncos.
The Broncos have received interest from at least three other teams as well, but they are unwilling to deal Lelie unless they get what they want in return. So far, nobody has offered enough to get Denver to budge. But with enough teams interested in the receiver that led the league in average yards per catch, somebody is expected to give the Broncos what they want soon enough.
