I truly beleve he will win the #1 FB job. When he steps on the field he is a warrior.
I really like Kyle Johnson as well so it's nice having that added depth in our backfield.

theres no way we go into the season with only one fullback. None of the other running backs could be stuck in the position and do well

What will we do with Kyle!?
We have to utilize both stars so if Cecil wins then we should get some value through Kyle by maybe trading him?

I've been a Cecil fan since his Junior year in college at CSU.
good luck to him.
I say we keep kyle just because he's pretty good.

I believe Kyle Johnson will win the starting FB job. Let me tell you why he should win it. He did great for us last year. Remember his touchdown catch against the Ravens. Watch this when the time is at 2:19 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6jrVKDrFNY&search=Denver%20Broncos)

Kyle was very important to our team last season. I think he will win the job mostly because I have heard Cobbs isn't really living up to potential in camp this year. Then again it is early and plus I don't believe any jobs are won or lost in camp unless you are just cut from the team then. You really can't tell who is going to play and at what position on the depth chart until you start watching preseason.

um cobbs isnt a fullback he's a tailback.....do you mean Sapp? Even if Sapp wins starting fullback, I bet they would use both men.

He plays both RB/FB...
I think what he means it that opens a roster spot at HB (for Sapp), if Cobbs doesn't make the cut.

it's all good...
he was a stud @ CSU in the tailback role...
That and his special teams ability is why Sapp is such a valuable player... versatility.

yeah thats why i think its cool having him as a fullback. Hopefully we'll see some fullback handoffs such as a hand off to the fullback, fake toss to the tailback and then bootleg

I couldn't agree with you more here. Johnson reminds me, and many others of Howard Griffith in the Broncos glory days. He's a tremendous blocker, has great hands and is a valuable asset in the red zone. Sapp can play running back as well, and is a special teams star, so I wouldn't be suprised to see him in there at various times, but Johnson will be the starter this season, unless he's injured.
