wow...

:coffee:

there has been a lot of dissagreement about the way our teams should be selected...

now i have my opinions...

and as the comissioner i could just make them so...

but i dont want to...

so here is a ballot...

we will do this the democracy way...

and although not everybody will win...

at least a majority will...

and in a case of a tie for any options..

we will revote...

with only the equaly popular ideas being involved...

...

edit...

i forgot tneds one...

just post a reply with that vote...

call it "home and away"...

:coffee:

Just a few more suggestions:
a) We could randomize three teams right before the game(Hit the pick random team button three times -- and see what teams it lands on), then we choose one of those 3 teams for that specific game

b) We could make a rule to only be allowed to use a specific team in the tournament... So lets say if... Snk16 uses the Jaguars in the first round, he can't use them for the rest of the tournament(Just an example)

*Shrugs*

But if you don't feel like making a new poll, I guess I'll vote, because I love you :D

I voted for the any of your top 5 teams until the finals (Broncos Vs. Broncos).

But I also like RTB's idea, if we could combine those ideas together somehow.

You didn't include my suggestion, which was to do a head-to-head system, where each week, each person plays one game. If we had 12 people, that would be 6 games that week. All 6 games would feature one team using the Broncos and one team using whoever the Broncos were playing that week.

I don't know what the thought was. Are you guys thinking a tourney or league that lasts for 2-3 weeks and is over, where we play multiple games a week, or a league where we play one game a week. If it is one game a week, then this is how my suggestion would work.

As an example, let's say we only had 4 teams in our league. Here is what would happen each week:

Second team is home team. Home team always gets to use Broncos.

Week 1
1 plays 2 (player 1 is St. Louis & Player 2 is Broncos)
3 plays 4 (player 3 is St. Louis & Player 4 is Broncos)

Week 2
2 plays 3 (player 2 is KC & Player 3 is Broncos)
4 plays 1 (player 4 is KC & Player 1 is Broncos)

Week 3
3 plays 1 (player 3 is NE & Player 1 is Broncos)
4 plays 2 (player 4 is NE & Player 2 is Broncos)

So, on.

You would setup the schedule using the same method they use for head-to-head fantasy leagues (needs to be created randomly, so nobody gets to choose which weeks they are home team and hence Broncos or not Broncos). Once the schedule is set, then each week, all teams that are designated as home teams by the schedule, use the Broncos, and the teas that are designated as away, play whoever the Broncos are playing.

Anyway, that is another option, that we could use.

Eh, I'd rather have every game include a different set of teams... But that's just me...

It is a good idea, but I don't think it would work out, but again, this is just my opinion

What do you mean by 'every game include a different set of team"?

Like... How you have the Rams and Broncos for week 1... Would each game(6 teams, so 3 games) in week 1 only include those two teams? Because I don't like that idea...

I'd rather have each owner of each team become assigned to a certain team... Just exclude the Broncos -- that would make it fair

Gotcha. Have it change each week, or for instance have me assigned the 49ers for the whole league/tourney?

The whole league/tourney...

There's only 12 owners, I'm sure everyone of us could get a team that we can cope with *shrugs*

I still like the idea of everyone picking a team, based on their 5 favorites.

Sticking with that team throughout the season, playoffs, and championship.

Being able to change teams every week, seems like there would be arguements over who would get to be that team, or even matchups, team "X" vs. team "X". Having more than one person being team "X" is just gay.

Keeping the same team, is more realistic, and as RTB said, with 12 people, it isn't as though someone is going to be stuck with a crap team (NYJ for instance), we'll have our pick of the best ones, via our 5 favs.

I voted as such, now we just have to see what the others do. Either way it should be fun.

i voted the use one team the whole way option, to me it just makes more sense

and noone can have the same team either, im pretty sure there is a way to spectate, so if we have a pre-determined schedule, we should have scouting

example,

str8jacket vs Snk

say i play Bronco Fan Cam the next week and SNK plays RTB, BFC and RTB could (possibly) spectate the game and see the play styles of their next opponents

if you all remember, i chose Carolina, man id love to have them for this tourney :D
the top 5 picks option works too, to me it would just be interesting to see who would pick who and see which team can go the farthest

It would be nice ebing able to view other games, especially once the season ended and the playoffs were being played.

I don't think this is possible, but it will be cool if it is.

Only votes made by those entered in the comp should be valid.

This will eliminate any "cheating".

Good point, should redo the poll with public viewing to throw out those that aren't in the league. For the record, I voted everyone plays the Broncos, so it is the best player, not best team that wins.
