I saw alot of improvements from Jay Cutler, when i watched him against the tough, tough san diego defense. I mean, not throwing a pick under pressure? Sure he had a couple of fumbles, and missed a few throws. With the cardinals coming up, will he reach 3 TD's next game?

He played better than he did last week for sure.
He needs to read defenses better and protect the ball.
One thing I noticed is that he didn't feel the pressure and as a result fumbled it once.
He needs to practice the snaps.
All in all, I'd say he played an acceptable game for his second start.

Im still seeing some Favre and Manning in Cutler's throws and audibles. Seriously I promise that this kid is going to be great if not HOF especially if he have more talents around him.

There was definate improvement over last week. Watching him yesterday made me repeat myself one more time....
We are going to need patience as he becomes better. I still think it will take a couple of years.
And we will be rebuilding the offense around him.

Most definitely I saw improvement in Cutler play. Considering he had no picks against the SD defense and with good passing and very good receiving by Scheffler. As 69 said patience with him is needed. Btw 69 after last weeks game Elway said exactly the same thing. :thumb:

One thing I would like to see from cutler is looking off his primary receiver. perhaps this will come with time and experience but it seems like Cutler locks onto a receiver and he is going to that receiver whether he is covered or not.
However,he did make a nice read when he scrambled out of the pocket and hit Scheffler in the back of the end zone.

I think the 3rd quarter was a flash of the future.

Cutler defintley played alot better this game.
Just a quick question about "CHEWY". Am I the only one that found it kinda weird for him to have a weapon that appeared to be a crossbow, but fired lasers???

Orange Crush is on the money with Cutler needing to look of the defenders so they don't read him. And u all are on the money about him improving, it's just a matter of time, before he's like manning and reads the defense before the play, and the patience of brady, and a hell of a cannon on farve. Let me ask u all this, remember when elway would come back with all those 4th quarter comebacks(43), do u see that in Jay Cutler?

He is definately showing signs of improvement. I liked the way he played in the gun and with the spread formations. The Broncos really need to utilize more of this in their game plans.
I am still concerned about his awareness of the pressure (which is a big issue with our porous pass blocking) and his fumbles. Hopefully this gets better in time. There is a fine line between being skittish in the pocket and staying in there until you are hit and lose the ball. He is mobile enough that he will need to get a sense of when it is time to start moving, or at least look around to see if you still have time.
His passes have been getting more accurate. He was horribly innaccurate last week, but better this week. He still had many throws that were off target, from swing passes to long passes, but they are getting better, and he had some that were on the money.
He had two balls in the endzone where the defender had a better shot at the INT then Scheffler did for the reception. Scheffler broke one up, and broke up the second and turned it into a TD.
I also like the improvements we are seeing in Scheffler and Marshall. Marshall made a GREAT catch one a throw over the middle where Cutler was a bit off target on a hard thrown ball that Marshall could only get one hand on, but he sort of batted it back to himself and then got it under control before hitting the ground.
I like the potential that Cutler, Walker, Scheffler and Marshall bring to the game, and hopefully all of that potential will be realized soon.

Speaking of broken fingers, those replays of tipped balls by San Diego looked painful! One guy had his fingers go so far back, I was almost sure he would have been taken out due to four broken fingers.
I must say, he played a very solid shotgun and improved a lot! Although the butterfinger situation had me sweating! My family and I were yelling for him to, "drop on the ball!!!!" :D
I'd like to see him in shotgun even more than the last game. He looked very comfortable and was able to move around in the pocket much better.

At least we can make that judgement after 2 games. I guess we should get someone else now.

Mike didn't completely finish our season yet, if we get 3 in a row, and a few loses from the jags and bengals, than we'll have the chance at the playoffs. After u saying to put Jake back in, u wouldn't give jay cutler experience? I mean, don't get me wrong, but jake the snake is not our future, this is the same move as what Arizona and the Titans did.
