Thanks Jaws, and everyone else :D, both for your congrats here and also for the CPs you have sent me over the last couple years that have given me the 10 bars.
Earlier this year, a woman I had worked with for nearly 20 years (starting when I was in high school, working part time), and was not only a friend but the only other Bronco fan that I could talk to on a daily basis, passed away. I miss her a bunch and miss all the chats we had before and after each game, win or lose (sometimes after a loss we both needed to cool off for a day or so, before talking about what happened).
Since I live in a place full of Cowboy fans and my friend is no longer here to talk to, this is the only place I have to share my passion for the Broncos.
I want to thank all of you for being here to talk about the great Broncos. For many years now I have looked forward to football season for many months, read and watched all the Broncos news I could through the week during the season, and planned most of my activities around kickoff time (yea, a little overboard maybe :)). Then, more years than not, I mourn a bit for missing or getting knocked out of the playoffs, and after a few months of sulking, start the process all over again.
A little over 15 years ago, my wife and I flew to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We arrived on Monday after about an 8 hour flight and got to the hotel around midday. At least back then, they tape delayed Monday night football and televised it at 8:00 or 9:00, and I made sure I didn't here the score, and watched every snap as the broncos got completely destroyed by the Redskins 35-0 or something like that. I would have been October 11 or 12th of '92. By the time the game was over, it was around 3:30 in the morning central time (our home time zone) and my wife was sound asleep on the first night of our honeymoon. :) You have to have priorities in life.
Anyway, I know long winded as always, but I just wanted to share with you have big a Bronco fan I am and how much it means to have other fans to talk about the Broncos with, even if we are talking long distance via a forum.
Thanks again, everyone.
