From a lifelong Chiefs fan, to our enemies on the field of play:

My deepest, heartfelt sympathies go out to the Bronco nation as you deal with the loss of one of your budding superstars. As we fight week in and week out to determine superiority on the field of battle, we often times lose sight of what matters most......humanity. Because in the game of life, we never get a second chance to make things right. I want to make my first post here on the Broncomania board a meaningful one. My heart goes out to all of you in your time of loss, and know that the thoughts and prayers of this Kansas City fan is with your football family. My the coming days, weeks, months, and years be filled with the joy that Darrent Williams brought to you as fans in his brief time here on Earth. God be with you all.............

I lost my father this past year and know the pain that D-Wills family must be going through. My condolences and those of my family go out to his family.

Unfortunately this kind of tragedy tends to show that this is just a game and not life.

As a Chief's fan, I wanted so much to come on here and savor the greater moments of what happened in yesterday's on field events.

After reading this news, none of that matters. I'm very sorry to hear this horrible news.

I truly appreciated your post, and wanted to say thank you for keeping everything in perspective. We will miss Darrent on our team, but my thoughts and those of all of the citizens of Bronco country are with his family, his children and all those close to him. He was so young, as while we know little about the circumstances of his death, we know enough to know it was senseless. Whatever the reason, nothing is worth the life of a father, a son, a teammate. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. Join us in praying for his family.

I can only hope that this crime does not go unsolved.
