Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey postponed a charity event scheduled
Darrent Williams for tonight because of the tragedy. A spokesperson for the event said Bailey is devastated by the death of his friend. Bailey was one of a handful of Denver players who went to the hospital where Williams' body was taken after he was shot. ...
For the second consecutive offseason, middle linebacker Al Wilson will need surgery to repair a broken thumb. ...
The Broncos are expected to sign several players to reserve-future contracts as soon as today, when the signing period begins. Denver is expected to sign 12 players, most of whom have played in the league and whom the Broncos worked out during the season. Among the players likely to sign are offensive lineman Jacob Rogers, linebacker Eddie Moore and receiver Teyo Johnson. All three players are former second-round picks. Also likely to sign is quarterback Darrell Hackney. He was a rookie from Alabama-Birmingham, who spent the preseason with the Cleveland Browns.

Will the Broncos finally give up on Tatum Bell? He can't stay healthy. He can't get the tough yardage consistently. And he quits on plays too often.
--Kya, Loveland
Kya - I wouldn't be surprised if Tatum Bell is not back in 2007. His durability and fumble issues will likely be major issues in the team's decision on whether to keep him or not. Look for Denver to have a new running back in 2007.
