To do something like this, seems a bit too much for me.
Bears Fan Changes Name To Peyton Manning
POSTED: 7:47 am MST February 7, 2007
DECATUR, Ill. -- He says he doesn't want to do it, but a die-hard Bears fan is changing his name to Peyton Manning.
Scotte Wiese told friends that if his beloved team didn't win the Super Bowl, he'd take the name of the Indianapolis Colts quarterback.
He even signed a petition in front of 200 people last week at Decatur's Katz Piano Bar promising that he'd do it.
After the Colts defeated the Bears 29-to-17 on Sunday, Wiese started the process.
The 26-year-old Forsyth, Illinois, man trudged to the Macon County Courts Facility Tuesday and filed the paperwork. The change still has to be approved by a judge.
Wiese said he really cares about the team and that his sacrifice represents the true passion of Bears fans.

Well, he will always be know as Peyton Manning no not the QB, you know the idiot that changed his name because the bears lost, that Peyton Manning.
I bet the judge won't let it go through unless he's a colts fan. :D
I think you do have to have a legitimate reason to change you name. I just don’t think this qualifies in that respect. I've been wrong before though.
It would be interesting to know if it goes through.

That could be the reason why he did it - because he was almost 100% sure a judge would not approve it.

Why do people keep saying they hope the judge doesn't allow it?? I hope he does, that way the guy will figure out stupid he really is when he is called Peyton Manning for the rest of his life.

Him:
Hi, my name is Peyton Manning.
Other person:
You have the same name as the QB for the Colts.
Him:
I got this name on a bet.
Other person:
What kind of bet?
Him:
Oh, I bet that if the Bears lost I would change my name to Peyton Manning
Other person:
I bet $10.00 your stupid.
Him:
Sorry, I'm broke. No one will hire me after I tell them how I got this name.
Other person:
