Both of ours havent been signed and i'd like to see another Howard Griffith run blocking, pass blocking and catching passes in the flat.... I mostly only know about college players from inside of PA ( where some of the best have grown up) had to throw that in there...hehehehe...... no but really I only know about what the experts and reporters say and haven't heard about any FB... I dont care about FA becasue we can not pay big FB money

If we were looking at one I'd take Jason Snelling out of Virginia because of his dual-purpose ability.

I doubt we'll have another snot-bubbler like Griffith, for awhile anyways.

Everybody likes Brian Leonard.

I like Cory Anderson from Tennessee....6-2/268, 4.7! If you watch the Vols much you know he can catch too. He lined up a TE some too.

I wouldn't call him superior. But he could be pretty good.

Yeah right, not one analyst believes he can produce as a halfback, he better have a good 40 or he may just slide for deciding to switch to halfback!

and if analysts were always right, there would never be any busts

There are a few good fullbacks this year: Le'Ron McClain from Alabama is the most dominant of the class. I think Deon Anderson from Connecticut will be a good fullback as well, however my 'gem' of this years class is Oren O'Neal from Arkansas State looks to have the tangibles to be another Griffith.

I have never seen all the top analysts agree and then be wrong, one or two...then yes, but not all the big groups like Mayock, CDS, Pro Sports, Cook & Cook, Scouts Inc. and even Mel Kiper, I have seen this one or that one saying 'yes' or 'no', but never wrong when there is a consesus agreement!

im not looking to fight here, but may i point out that Ryan Leaf was liked by more scouts than Peyton Manning. Most people had Leaf as the Top QB in that 98 draft, and those who didnt still had him being a great QB. the consesus was he would be great. you cant say never because there is always a few exceptions

I was discussing, not fighting -

That was Leaf and not all scouts though thought of him that high, not one of the major draft scouts or services, that again is none think he can make it as a halfback, as a slant back, fullback or tweener then yes, but not one thinks he can carry the load, and I agree...let alone, name me the last white halfback that really dominated the game? Simpson, Brown, ****erson, Sanders, Smith, Davis, George, Thomlinson, Portis...guess what, they were all black!

well the coolest FB in NCAA football is Mike Viti of Army simply cause he carried 6 Navy defenders about 6 or 7 yards but he wont be going pro and is only a junior

Brian Leonard does seem like a good FB and all but i believe he is like Kyle Johnson in that he cant block all that well I think Leonard is more of a big running back that can block a lil bit so I don't think hed be that great of an improvement at fullback for us

Todd is a beast and if we drafted Jackson I would be all for signing him as a UDFA, I do not think Todd will get drafted, but he may be worth a risk pick in the 7th Round.

Brandon Hancock from USC would be a great late round/FA pickup.

just because he's white doesnt mean he cant run the football. i didnt want to turn this into a race issue, but since you mention it, arent white football players often more fundamentally sound, and have a higher football IQ? name the last black RB who scored over Vince Young in the Wonderlic test... lol, jk there :D ....i dont know if you can score lower anyways...

Nasti Nate Ilaoa.

He's a RB but he can be converted to FB.

This season at Hawaii he was a 254 pound bunker-busting bowling ball. It would take NO LESS than 4 guys to bring him down, most of the time it took 6 people to bring him down. He has pretty good speed too, and he's deadly with the shovel pass. This season he had like 1,000 yards from shovel passes from Colt Brennan.
