Gears of Wars + The Executioner = Hell... or is it?

I haven't get excited like this since when RE4 came out. I play a lot of Resident Evil games so I decided to try out GoW. Its very worth it. The bad part is I'm not too stupid to pay $50 a year to play online where its supposed to be free in the first place, so offline only, this is why PS3 is better than XBOX 360 IMHO. But man, Im glad I got 360 and GoW. The cuss words in this game is very intellegent, not too much the F word (so far I haven't heard it), they just have the word poop a lot. I just bought this today and I almost forget about dinner...

Too bad online requires the gold membership, other wise I would've play Execution mode or death match.

Anybody here other than Freak 56 play GoW?? :rockon:

Anyway, a buddy and myself played through GoW (on Hardcore) and didn't find anything particularly special about it. We beat it under six hours, I think. It wasn't a very long game, but we enjoyed it. Neither of us thought it's the killer-game everyone and their grandma dubs it to be, though.

I have it... I play mostly online. I beat the game twice and going for Insane.... I think 50 bucks is a good deal for a year. Xbox owns PS when it comes to online gaming :D

Online play for the 360 is definately worth the price. I have every system ever made from everyone. Right now the 360 is way better than the PS3. IMO the PS3 isn't very good right now. I know that eventually it will be, but how long do i have to wait to get a 2nd game worth playing. The 360 is so far ahead of the PS3 with games and online gaming i almost hope that the PS3 never catches up. I believe that if you snooze you deserve to lose.

Why in the heck you have to pay to play some games online when its supposed to be free in the first place??? PlayStation disagree with XBOX.

I just feel $49.99 for a year is too much when you can just add 10 bucks more and buy another game and you can have it for the rest of your life. So far my girl---friend just gave me a $15 gamestop gift card for Valentine, that means $35 more. SmithOverTO you must give me the rest of 35 bucks!

The PS3 will catch up, in games, when the next game rush comes... Probably
early summer for all of the summer breaks.

Also, the PS3 actually has a good online gaming structure for free, i prefer the
free compared to 50 bucks a year. PS3 online is good enough that the 50 bucks
for Xbox makes it even IMO.

You'd understand why it cost so much if you played xbox online. They come out will some serious updates. You can try out games before you buy as well as download older arcade games (which you have to pay for), you can download movies, tv shows and soon your 360 will be like a tivo. The quality is unreal so if you have a 360 i would at least try a month just to see what you're missing.

Live has less lag, better quality service, and it allows for updates, and demos, movies.
