Well if Kerney leaves Denver tonight that is not a good sign! Once he lands in Seattle they will probley hand him a blank check! We will see if the Broncos want to spend some money. Kerney is really the only difference maker right now. DE K. Carter was released earlier by the Dolphins, cheaper alternative, same goes with Rice!

If Graham falls through, TE E. Johnson is a cheaper alternative!

Yeah, if the Graham deal does not go through we should just stick with Alexander.

Broncos are still trying to negotiate a deal with the Bills that would have McGhee coming to Denver in exchange for a 3rd round pick. Which third I can't say, but I hope it's not the Redskins pick at the top of the third! I'd rather it be the Broncos pick at the bottom of the third!

I'm sure Shanny is going to work them until they leave. Adam Schftner said a deal for Kerney and Graham could be done by as early as Saturday.

I really doubt Graham is ever coming back (except to play against us on the visiting team). If the rumors were true and he wanted to come back to Denver, he would've signed with us today. The guy is chasing the big bucks and we just can't compete. He's probably going to be a Raider (sees them tomorrow, and Al Davis will overpay him just because we want him). Oh well, the jokes on Graham if he signs with Chokeland!

It would've been nice, but he's not a big loss and really isn't one of our huge needs right now. Running a double TE set with Alexander and Scheffler will be just fine.

From what I've hear they didn't arrive until mid-afternoon, and were still discussing.

I think Graham is getting too much attention. Everybody talks like he is Shannon Sharpe, NOT!! We are good with Alexander and Scheffler.

I'd agree with this. The key phrase I read was in his agent's denial of the rumor on ESPN that he'd signed a deal with Denver. His agent insisted that Graham would visit both Oakland and Seattle BEFORE making a decision.

That means he's not going to be sweet talked into giving up his leverage. The team with the most $ wins in that scenario.

The only drawback for Graham is that he might not be able to afford to do that if things in FA really start moving fast. It could become a game of musical chairs with the chair you were offered yesterday taken by another player today.

That would certainly be true of the Broncos who figure to spend the money they would have offered Graham somewhere else if he leaves.

But, Oakland and Seattle had over $20 million in cap room each last I looked so I don't know that either would have a problem in a bidding war.

If I were Graham I wouldn't go to Oakland under any circumstances.

1. The Faders are a LONG way from competing for anything.

2. Uncertainty will remain around this franchise until Al Davis dies and they get a real GM.

3. Lots of unhappy players in Oakland, just ask Jerry Porter and Randy Moss.

4. Uncertain who the QB will be. The only certainty is that the ones on the roster won't start.

That ought to be enough.

Seattle of course is a model franchise which went to the SB in 2005 and made the playoffs this year, so if I were Graham I'd prefer either Seattle or Denver to Oakland.

But, then players keep taking the money to go to Oakland and wallow through 4-12 seasons so I guess the money has it compensations.

Personally, if I hated coming to work every Sunday and walked off the field with a loss and the fans booing, I'd start wondering if the extra money was worth it. But, that's just me. What do I know? Maybe getting your house on "Welcome to My Crib" or whatever the show's called is more important. :coffee:

A false report came out that we signed him.
