backup QB?

Well I saw that Johnson signed with the Cowboys for like 3.5 million. Where does this leave us as far as a backup QB? I know we are bringing in Wright (from Cincy, I believe), but has anyone heard anything else about any other QBs? I'd be interested in getting Rattay if we can get him for cheap.

if cleo lemons on the cheap, i'd take him, other than that i dunno, i personally like long ballers and kerry collins' arm has always done me right in madden :D

Id kind of like to draft Zabransky or, to a lesser extent, Stanback as a 3rd stringer and bring in a vet as #2. I could go for Rattay or Harrington.

zabransky for the win! guys fast, he could be a kordell stewart type guy, i love gadget guys, plus he's got spunk, the fiesta bowl made me scour the earth for more tape of him, and he looks like a great back up

I agree, Harrington would be a good back. And I don't think he'll cost that much to get. And now that he's a free agent, we don't have to worry about trading anymore players or picks. :salute:

I think Kurt Warner would be a good backup. I know he isn't a FA. But I bet we could get him with a late pick.

It's pretty sad really, there just isn't any good experienced backups out there.

Being from Idaho I know and like Zabransky. But I feel we need someone like warner to help Jay along. Warner is a smart guy!

i really like cleo though, i remember watching him way back when he was a charger, he didn't do so bad in the last half of that last phins game either, at least for a guy coming off the bench

Um, firstly, calling someone 'peckerwood' is not a very good way to improve your standing on these boards.

Second. Maybe you need to work on your sarcasm, cos it's non-existant in your posts. Heck, there's not even a hint of irony!

It'd be nice to get Harrington, but I doubt it. I'd even look into Patrick Ramsey...I think he's available.
