There is a stud TE that we need. A bigger gap in our O than most think. Scheffler is a 2nd year player who showed great promise in the last few games, but we really need a STUD TE to put our offense over the top. If we had Randy McMichael, we could do some major damage and have a threat at every position.

That may be just me, but I'd like to have more than a 2nd year player who wasn't active all of last season as our main TE.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw he was cut.

My questions were:

1. How much money is he going to want compared to Graham.
2. We all know he can catch the rock but how good are his blocking skills?

I have something funny to say...but it's not pc or...whatever...but, it's funny. I just don't want to spend time in rehab with Ann Coulter.

I just know a. He's a great threat, good counter punch to Gonzalez and Gates. b. If he cant' block, we'll put in one of our no name TEs, but I bet he can block. If not, we'll teach him. It was Miami afterall and it didn't look like they taught much of anything.

Does it have to do with another thread on McMicheal?

I agree perfectly with you. If we can't get Graham, why we don't evaluate price and blockinng skills of Mc'mic?
May be two pass catchers is better of having two TE where one can "only" block and the othe can "only" catch the rock as it is now.

My english is terrible! make an effort to understand me

I'm sure he would do a good job blocking Al Harris off CB blitz

(Harris long hair...)

If you think about it, if someone asked you last year during the season who you would want, mcmicheal or graham, I think every one would say mcmicheal. I remember him killing us the last time we played them, I say forget graham and go for the better all around guy in mcmicheal.
I know every one is cheering for tony sheffler to be the man, including me, but if you step back and look at it, McMicheal is the better TE.

Umm, I think Scheffler brings the same receiving threat that McMichael does, and McMichael isn't much of a blocker, either. Let's give Tony a full season in the offense before we bring in a guy with EXACTLY THE SAME SKILL SET. Okay?

PASS ON MCMICHAEL! just because a guy is a free agent, doesn't mean he needs to be/should be a Bronco!

I don't see anything wrong with giving Cutler more options or threats. Especially at our TE position.
