How about this for a shocker?
Bob Sanders!
I really think it should be him. The playoffs just proved he is the heart and soul of that Defense. and that when he's out, they suck. But when he is in, the defense plays amazing

Its always one person on the losing Super Team so someone on the Bears. My guess is Their MLB Brain....

Sanders is a great call. He's an impact player, and defensive pass coverage is definitely due for an upgrade. I like this suggestion better than any other I've seen so far.

Nope not always. Mike Vick never made the Super Bowl. Ray Lewis got the cover the year after they won the super bowl.
Daunted Culpepper never got close
You seem to be misinformed

Well I think LT would be one of the favorites to get it because of his record setting TD performance last year.
Bob Sanders wouldn't be a bad choice either and I think if the MVP voting had waited until after in the season that he might have had some consideration for it.
Champ could be it, but I doubt it. I would go with either Brian Urlacher or Jason Taylor who was defensive player of the year.
How bout Peyton Manning? Got his first Super Bowl win and he's a popular guy.

Yes. you are correct. Unless he was referring to the past few years, then I see what it means.
But honestly, they'll probably fix DBs so it don't look good for Champ...:ugh:

I dont think either one of those guys can be on the cover of an EA game, I know for a fact that Manning cant cause he was on the cover of NFL Fever for XBOX a couple years ago and I am sure they have some type of an agreement that he cant work deals with other gaming companies..And I think LT was on a cover for NFL Fever as well, but I'm not positve on that one..

It would be cool if they put a team photo of the Chargers, and Chiefs on the cover of madden (sorry we don't have to worry about the raiders, they have their own curse - Al Davis).

I think its likely going to either be Payton Manning or L.T.
L.T. --> Set the touchdown record. and is a beast of a rb.
Manning --> Won that all elusive super bowl and is a popular fan favorite.
Personally since they went RB last year, i imagine they go Manning this year.
on another note: Did anyone realize the souped up stats they gave payton last year??? His qb vision is rediculous also. He sees the entire half of a field on qb vision...... so sick. Not to start controversy. But plummer's was like a narrow tunnel for vision. When i played my friends they always keyed in on my vision if i made a pre snap read and knew exactly where i would throw it. And then he would get the Colts and i could NEVER tell where payton would throw... So Annoying.
-Rant Off-

I think Peyton still has a contract with NFL Fever even though the game is gone he would still be signed to that contract because its the company's contract to the company not the game same with LT
Their contracts could be up im not sure
im pretty positive LT still is under contract though

My honest opinion .... this years cover will be owned by A) a Wide Reciever or B) Defensive player. The last few years they centered the cover around upgrades to the game. First with the QB and QB Vision and I believe McScabb was on the cover and then last year was the lead blocker controls and upgrades to the run game and Shaun Alexander was on the cover. This year is begging for either a game upgrade at WR or Defensive side.
I'm leaning towards a Defensive upgrade being there isn't much tweaking they can do to the WR position on the game.

i been thinking about this since the new uniform came out, and while i don't think they'll do LT because of his past gameday cover and the fact they just did RB last year, i can imagine philip rivers being on there with the new uniform, but realistically i think it's probably jason taylor if it's DE, champ bailey if it's CB, or possibly adalius thomas if it's LB (i wanted to say urlacher but he's been on 2k's cover)
i also would have liked to have said peyton but he's been on a competing game's cover. drew brees makes alot of sense too.
i'm still not sure those kinds of people are eligible for a madden cover.
