We all know that Shanahan will most likely pick up an insurance RB somewhere in this draft (he usually always does). Most likely he will only watch and learn the vet T.Henry to better his game for at least a couple of years. Which round will we do it though?
He might get one but Im not convinced he'll get one. At this point, you kind of wonder if theyd think an unsigned FA is the better option. If they do get someone, you have to wonder how much they believe in Bell.
I don't think that he drafts a RB this year, there are alot of other needs before RB. If anything we will see another undrafted rookie signing, just my :2cents:

I don't think Shanahan will take a RB any sooner than the 3rd round. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't draft a RB at all either. He didn't draft one last year.

Actually we should get Brian Leonard in the 2nd Round. We are in need of a good FB that can pave the way for Henry.
I don't think Shanahan's looking for any rb's, but maybe he'll get one in the 7th just in case he becomes the next, out of nowhere steal. That fullback idea sounds great, and I was thinking, someone who could fit into special teams, so you get something out of him even if he doesn't play on offense.
Deon Anderson - Those looking for a traditional fullback should keep the University of Connecticut's Deon Anderson. Anderson is a solid lead blocker and shows intriguing ability as both an interior runner and check down receiver. He flashes good, albeit not great hands. UCONN features an underrated senior runner in Terry Cauley, which has limited Anderson's opportunities. When given the ball, Anderson has produced. He's averaged 4.6 yards per rush throughout his career and entered his senior campaign with 34 catches already. Caulley was forced to walk on this year due to academic struggles and has some off-field history. While one might question Anderson's dedication to his studies, he is the prototypical blue collar worker on the field. Not only is he a legitimate pro prospect at fullback, Anderson is a terrific special teams performer. A tough, physical player with 4.7 speed at 5-10, 240 pounds, Anderson seems to enjoy his role as a wedge-buster on the coverage units. He is clearly one of the best fullbacks of the draft, but with the position fading at the pro level, Anderson is only a late round or free agent prospect. (nfldraftscout)
"Won't make a big impact as a rusher, but could start for a team that needs a true lead blocker." (Sporting News)

* left UConn after junior year, speculation - disciplinary
* returned as a walk-on, fought for a chance to play, paid for his own studies
* UConn’s best blocking fullback and one of its most reliable special teams players

Brian Leonard isn't that kind of Fullback - and he also wants a crack at HB
I wouldn't mind seeing Rollin Dirty Taylor in the 7th

Kyle Johnson, there's nothing wrong with him plus they signed Paul smith, who by the way did a fine job blocking for Steven Jackson :coffee:
