Ok so now we got Moss, we still need a DT. I was hoping for Eric Weddle but he is gone. Now I think Denver will adress more DL with the next pick.

Tank Tyler would be a good pick at 56 and would compliment Moss, Warren and Elvis.

Definately, I'd take that big fattie. I would like that pick

That would be nice, but we can't go defense with all 3 1st day picks. I say we go for an OG with our 2nd especially if Blalock is available. Then we use our 3rd on SS John Wendling, but idk I trust Shanahan so watever he does ill go with.

I think he's a major league turd and anyone who drafts him should feel lucky if he plays out his entire rookie contract. He's lazy, inconsistent on the field, and has history off the field.

Blalock has been picked. We could always select an OT with the 3rd.

his negatives are: tends to solely lower his head and bull-rush opponents off the ball.........haha, sounds like a good fit in Bates D.......

he could use help with his techniques, which i think bates could mold perfectly. other than that he has decent speed, very good size and power. him next to warren would stuff the run.

ok so will we take him with our 3rd rounder? imo he will be gone.

BUT if we make a trade for jenkins or rogers i will be stoked! im not so sure about having so many rookies on the dl this year.

anyone know how long the time limit to pick is in the 3rd round?

Trading the 3rd for Jenkins or Rogers would be an even bigger steal. :D

we really need another veteran on the line. maybe shanny has already agreed in principle with carolina b/c the rams actually picked with their second rounder...so that deal is for sure dead in the water.

i wouldnt like 75% of our dline to be all rookies.

our line would be sick like this

moss jenkins warren crowder/elvis

Even if they have to sweeten the pot a little to get Jenkins/Rogers it would be worth it, imo.

Btw, Moss/Crowder won't be expected to start right off the bat. I don't think.

Yeah, here it is. It's kinda funny though.

Dear Shanny, This guy Tank Tyler is Big, Fat and runs like hell.
P.S. He can stop the run better than anyone you already have.
Respectfully
Mrs. Tyler

Well we skipped over him. Great value if he falls to the 4th

He is reminding me of a DT last year that was projected in the 2nd round, but fell for some reason to the 7th.

here's an idea,

maybe if he doesnt get drafted we can actually adress the dt position by signing him as a rookie free agent! (sarcasm intended)

again plenty of picks that looked way better than a OT at this point.

Pittman...good return man
ANY DT
ANY S
ANY LB

heck even mason crosby

this might be good for cutler though. i can see why we picked an OT just wondering why 2 DE's

Why not 2 DEs? Pass rush was easily the biggest team need so we shotgunned the position like we did with CBs a few years back.

Moss immediately will offer pass rushing help, as he was probably the second best pass rush DE in the draft, Bates loves players with his build, and he can hopefully develop into an everydown force (yet he probably still will start anyways as its not like we have awesome talent).

Crowder is a nice pickup too. Good value where we got him and he can possibly make an immediate impact too.

We can live with the talent we have at LB. Gold and DJ will be good at Will and Mike and probably whatshisname from Washington or Webster will start at Sam, as you really only need 2 good LBs to have a successful LB corps.

DT is a need, but Bates likes big guys who take two gaps, those can be drafted in the second day perfectly.

S might not be that big of a need as people think. Both are serviceable vets who offer good run support and won't blow too many coverages. Brandon is a great cover guy and apparantly the FO likes Abdullah a lot.

Why does everyone wish Denver had taken Marcus Thomas with the 3rd when he will likely be available at #176 (Denver's next pick)? This kid is a major risk with major character concerns. He might be the biggest risk in the draft. And since he has been out of football for a while, he very well may not be in top shape.

my opinion is harris looks like the next foster. B-U-S-T

he struggles against pass protection against speed rushers and can be walked into the quarterback when over powered. he is also an only average as a run blocker.

Straight out of the NFL.com scouting report, eh?

Well, have you analyzed all of his games and interviewed him and those familiar with him? Because I'm pretty sure the Broncos' scouting department covered all that and thought he had potential to become a good player for us. Are they right? I don't know, but there's no reason to blindly believe a brief NFL.com synopsis over professional scouts and coaches.

As to Tank, I'm glad we didn't get him because we don't want to risk turning into the Bengals.

actually i did evaluate him quite a bit. if you search a lot of my threads even a year ago. i grew up in south bend indiana and have been a notre dame fan since i was 9. in fact tim brown used to live next to me years ago.

ryan harris actually got beat so many times at ND. quinn is going to be a GOD in the nfl now that he doesnt have this over rated joker blocking for him.

lets see what he does having joe thomas block for him.
