Good. I don't feel like a complete idiot for posting a thread about that rumor yesterday.

seems like a good signing. more competition at the guard spots can't hurt.

gotta say it in every udfa thread, still hoping for walter thomas.

Just a thought here, but what do you guys think the chances are that we may try Duckworth out at DT rather than OG. He started out at Auburn as a DT, and at 6 foot 3, 305 pounds, he seems to fit the Bates' space eater DT better than the Broncos undersized athletic O-line. Just a random thought. I would be happy for them to keep him at guard, because he seems like a good prospect, but I couldn't help thinking of the DT possibility as I read his bio.

In your sig, you really believe Hamza beats out Brandon? I hope you're right because that means Hamza is going to have a hell of a camp.

Its not a fact of the Broncos only go after light guys, its a fact that they want extremely athletic guys because in our system O-linemen are required to get to the second level quickly, they need to be able to cut block effectively and footwork is the most important things. Not says alot of guys dont have that but look at how well a big guy like Foster did for us :nono:

When looking at our potential future line Im kind of excited:

LT: Ryan Harris - 6'4" 305lbs
LG: Chris Kuper - 6'4" 302lbs
C: Greg Eslinger - 6'3" 292lbs
RG: Tim Duckworth - 6'3" 305lbs
RT: Erik Pears - 6'8" 305lbs

Reserve youth:
OG: Montrae Holland - 6'2" 322lbs
OT: Jacob Rogers - 6'6" 312lbs

All the aforementioned OL I just spoke of are 5 year vets or younger which means we have a good looking up and coming line even after Lepsis and Nalen retire.

By the way, I still see a lot of people who say Hamilton should be the next center. Read this about Eslinger and just believe that he WILL be the future center for the Denver Broncos:

The consensus All-American also earned All-Big Ten Conference first-team honors from the league’s coaches and media for an unprecedented third time. He was also named the Big Ten’s Offensive Lineman of the Year, marking the first time a Gopher has earned that award. Having started every game (50) during his career, he led an offensive line that limited the opposition to only 46 quarterback sacks over his four-year career (2002-05), the fewest in the Big Ten during that span (second fewest - Northwestern, 67).

Doesn't that sound like a guy we like :D

Duckworth is a better talent than a guy like Kasey Studdard...he's just raw.

Big and raw.
