Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith in 1080i

Over 19 GB of HD goodness. You can see the individual hairs on Natalie Portman's sweet little neck. Plus the explosions are cool too!

I would recommend others to download too.

I think I have less than 3 GB remaining on my computer, so I wont be doing that anytime soon. :(

I'd like to see it though. :)

I only have like 100 MB on my computer

I really need to free up space if I was going to do that.

But I'm not a fan anyways though so it dont bother me.

How did you download it?
With BitComet, it was a torrent that was passed to me by a friend. I can find the link if you wish.

1080i < 720p, but glad you were able to download it. A friend of mine did the same (except 720p) with 300. I'm not sure how he got it already, but he did.

This is incorrect.

1080i is interlaced, but it is a higher resolution.

Both have their advantages.

No, it might be awhile before they are released on a HD format,

but when they do, it will most likely be in 1080p.

Right now the quickest way is to record it from HBO-HD.

Sorry, I get confused...it is in 1080p. It doesn't have the silly HBO logo on it anywhere, so I don't know where it came from.

They don't display the HBO label on the corner of the screen anymore.

At least they don't on my channels.

I've never seen a squirrel play pinball, so I guess we're even. For the record, I've never seen Harry Potter or even read one of the books. Nothing against them, just never got around to it. Someday maybe.

I'll take a slightly lower resolution in progressive scan any day over a slightly higher res interlaced.

My 35" Vizio 1080i LCD doesn't have as good of a picture as my 52" JVC 720p rear projection TV.

Yeah, I think this is probably the bigger problem.

Vizio is junk.

All things being equal, 720 Progressive scan will look better on moving objects and 1080 interlaced should look better with objects that are more stationary.

For example, the movie "Crank" might look better on your 720p but the series "Planet Earth" will look amazing in 1080i.

I still don't see how this could be a true HD version of star wars unless it was ripped from the master. Even the HD broadcast loses some of it's resolution through filters in the cable because the bandwidth would be sucked dry. It is probably someone using Xvid to rip the DVD mpg2 source and then upconverting it to 1080i (which is max for a DVD). This same qaulity can be achieved by simply playing the old DVD's in an upconverting DVD player or a HD-DVD or BluRay player. Plus, if it's a 19 gig file you have to play it off your computer, which once again translates to resolution loss. I think I'll just wait for the official High Definition disc and throw some more of my money at Lucas. If it is a real HD copy, I'm curious how they got a hold of it.

I like my Vizio TV a lot...better than ya thing...made with all the same stuff the Samsung TVs are...

I loved Crank. "Do I look like I have "****" written on my forehead?"
