Has Anyone beat "Kanes Tower" on Act V for the Nod campaign?

How did you do it?!?!?! By the time I can get to the Juggernauts and take down that artillery platform they have set up the Control Nodes or whatever they are already get down to 50% damage

Help! Please!

 It's ridiculously hard! I beat GDI's campaign Two days ago and that was a cake walk compared to this mission!

Another question....how in the heck can you stop the GDI troops filing into the Scrin base? My idea was to take an Emissary and pre-build 2 Obselisks of light then once the Emissary is ready i unpack it between the two bases but that didnt work since all my money is really going towards trying to keep those damn Juggernauts alive.

Im so confused :(

Yeah... I had craploads of trouble on this mission as well hahaha

Here's a portion of a guide that i used to help me though, starting after you've captured the juggernauts since you've seem to have gotten that far.

D-Fence

If you manage to capture the Juggernauts, have them first take out the airfield to the north, then set them to Hold Ground stance and take out any other GDI structures you can see around the map. Try not to move them off the hill if possible, as they will be easily taken out by the troops that walk by the eastern ramp. If you’re flush with cash, you might want to try airlifting an Emissary vehicle over there, setting up a small encampment, and using shredder turrets to take down the passing troops.

Whether you get the Juggernauts or not, though, you’ll want to start cranking out some seriously large numbers of Venoms, upgraded with lasers. They’re going to be your best bet to protect the remaining Phase Generators (the Juggernauts will almost certainly knock one out before you can destroy them). Eventually the pressure on the eastern edge of your base will let up; that’s your cue that the GDI is going to start pressing in on the Scrin forces much more heavily. You may want to build another refinery in the northwestern corner of the your base to start nabbing some of the tiberium there, as well.

Protect these Phase Generators!
Now, whether or not the Scrin survive here is irrelevant; they’ll probably be wiped out by the GDI before long, and that’s fine. You might even want to assist in the process by destroying their harvesting facility near your base to leave more tiberium for you. At this point, most of the GDI focus will be on the remaining Phase Generators. They’ll be sending Firehawks towards them from the northeast, so try to position a large group of Venoms in their path so that they can shoot them down as they arrive. Again, if you like, you can airlift an Emissary up near the remaining Phase Generators and set up some defenses nearby. If you have the cash, build up another air tower with more Vertigos, and try to defend the Juggernauts with a few Venoms.

Routing the GDI

At this point, your main problem will be the appearance of an Ion Cannon Control Center in the northeastern corner of the base. Take it out however you can. The Juggernauts will be able to fire on it if you have any left; apart from that, you might want to try suiciding some Vertigos over there. The GDI will periodically use Shockwave Artillery on your base, so be quick to repair those buildings, and scatter some extra power plants around to absorb the temporary energy loss. Build your own Temple of Nod if you wish to get your nuking on.

Focus on the enemy construction buildings in their bases. To the south, take out the war factories and barracks to staunch the flow of enemies from that direction (use your mine power or Shadow Teams to scout them out if you can’t see them), and deal with the airbase to the north as well. These facilities apparently aren’t rebuilt when they’re destroyed, so killing them off will effectively eliminate any chance that the GDI has to win. Just take out the structures, then start working on the power plants to take their turrets offline, then start bombing the hell out of them, or move your Venoms in for the kill.

This is a difficult mission, but if you make enough saves during it. Fulfill the glory of Nod by defeating the GDI. If you’ve beaten both campaigns, you can then begin the Scrin campaign by going back to the main menu and hitting the Campaign button.

:brick:

Yeah i basically studied the Gamespot guide for an hour before i tried the mission again.

I'm playing it on hard right now, I managed to take out the Ion Cannon with the Juggernauts along with the northern airfield but i still cant cut off the GDI troops!

By the time I have pounded the hell out of the Ion Control center the Scrin base has like 10 Mammoths in it :brick:

Im tempted to just move up into the Scrin Base myself, capture their construction yard, and build up there since the damn computer is so incompotent :brick:

I need to make a recording of this or something

Along with my audio added in.......just because its so hectic.

The sight of all those mammoths rolling into the Scrin base.....*shudders*

Yeah that mission is pretty insane haha. Mammoths tanks are so awesome when you get to use them... but when they're being used against you.... eesh. Especially if they have rail guns :(

I am 1 level away from the one you guys are talking about. I beat the GDI campaign in no time but then moved and haven't had my computer for a month and a half. Now I just started playing as NOD.

Do any of you play this game online? I have been getting destroyed by people online and it seems that they build stuff twice as fast as I do. I was just wondering what order someone that is good at this builds stuff to get so many units out so quickly.

To answer ^ your question, I'm pretty sure they use craploads of hotkeys and have every building mapped on their keyboard, etc.

I don't play on PC though, 360 all the way

One thing I do right before I do anything is build a Foundry/Crane.

That way you can pump out two buildings at a time.

I dont play online though, wayyyy too competitive, I only play online with my friend and we go against some Computer controlled players.

I've been using the Scrin alot lately since I just beat the campaign this morning, one of my favorite things to do is (With the Nod) is upgrade maybe 6 Avatars to the fullest with Flame Tanks, Stealth Tanks, Beam Cannons, and a Rocket bike. They run everything over!

Last time I actually was good at an RTS online was Command And Conquer Generals, I had a record of something like 160 and 4...........:D

By the way, im more of a "Turtle"

Get all my defenses set up, get my economy strong, then I can build an army to steamroll someone

I think some of those people have just played way more than me is why they are so good, plus they probably do all use binds like someone else said. I tend to use that same strategy though, and I can usually hold off people that rush right away but then they will still have a bigger army than me built up after I take out a huge force that they already sent.

My online record was like 1-15 before I gave up online play in this one.

I guess I should just stick to my FPS games since that is what I'm good at online.

Yeah the people that really dominate online RTS' really are a different breed, because I can never do that

Yeah I just have natural skillz in fps and then sports games I can work up to being good. RTS games don't do to well for me though :P

In Call of Duty United Offensive on PC, I would pretty much dominate online.

Averaged 70 kills and 5 deaths per round.

As long as I had a Bolt Action Rifle without a scope I was just fine....people accused me of cheating so often

The newest patch kind of slowed things down and added a few bad glitches, like things being invincible (how can you win if you can't destroy his building?)

Before that though, I was pretty good, ranked 300 at my highest. Just got to play alot, download the replays, they help alot. Nothing better than taking someones build order after he just wrecked you. If you can multitask well, you will be alright.

Oh, and ALWAYS reverse move when you pull back.
