Broncomania Sig Battles: Round Two

Before I announce the winners and show you the updated bracket, I'd like to thank all of those who competed and all those who voted. Where some of you may have lost, it's still important that you do not reveal your identity, because people will remember who entered, and then go from there to try and figure out who is still in and who still isn't.

FROM NOW ON, VOTES ARE ONLY ACCEPTED VIA PM.

This time around we had over twenty votes which is impressive. Without further adieu. . . here are the winners, and the match-ups for round two!

The winners of round one are. . .

Numbers: 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 11 and 13

So the updated bracket goes as such. . .

Number 10 versus Number 13.

Number 11 versus Number 1.

Number 2 versus Number 4.

Number 8, you lucky devil - gets to advance and will face the winner of the Number 2 versus Number 4 battle. Why do you ask? He or she. . . didn't have anyone to face due to the bracket size, but please make a signature with the new image so we can showcase your talent!

Here's the new image, we'll be switching to a new sport and to one of the games youngest, greatest players!

I have only received four submissions, so I will allow this to go on for a few more days Reidman. I don't want to have more people have to drop out. Wednesday Night is the FINAL DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSIONS.

If I only have four submissions, I guess I'll have to just mix up how we do things at the end, we'll have five people in it, but another person would have to get a bye which would be weird, since Contestant 8 isn't facing anyone.

I feel so bad that this hasn't faired well and been slow, and I blame myself, but it's really hard to get everyone on the same page. :(

Voting thread will be up Thursday Morning with the available submissions.

Some people are saying they're too busy, and some people just aren't sending in there stuff.

Nobody seems to be real interested in this and I feel like it's a bad idea if I close it down, but I have no idea to even go about a 5 person contest anymore.

I've been so busy this past month this has really became an afterthought so maybe it's just best if we try and resume this a little later on with more dedicated members, and with more people having time?

I know a lot of you work and stuff like that, and it is the summer - so perhaps we should just postpone this?

It's not much of a contest if 5-6 of the contestants (about half) bow out because of forfeiture. :sad:

Kap and I think you should just put the 5 sigs up and have people pick their #1, #2 and #3 sigs...and there you get 3 winners. If you want I can collect votes...Kap said she would too..or you can just make a poll. I just dont think its fair to the people who turned sigs in on time for this to be canceled.

Agreed. I made it a point to get this done because I'm a person of my word. I could have been doing other stuff. If you call this off then those who turned in a sig made theirs for not.

Just put up the ones that got turned in and put it to a vote of the people. I don't mind if we end it right here but at least present the sigs that people turn in.

I agree with you Dream, summer probably isn't the best time to put these things on. Try again in the winter when people are huddled around their computers for warmth.....:D

I love your font. I wish I was good at font! And I was really stuck on what to do with the color and stuff...it took me forever. I like yours though, you have such a great unique style. I vote we win. :P

I wish this thing would have gone more smoothly. I love sig competitions when they go the way they're supposed to. Like I said earlier, summer is not a good time to do these. We should do another one in the winter maybe.

I wish it would have worked too...I've never done a sig comp before and I was pretty shocked that I got to this round. But oh well, its not that big of a deal. If it happens again in the winter I will for sure sign up and try again. :P

I think this would have been a good vote off personally but I didn't feel like
waiting around. So far the sigs I've seen would have all been close IMO.

I didn't even get to go up against anybody in the first round so I basically was never even in the competition...:laugh:

I was the #8, so I would have just gone passed this round... however because of that I put off doing a sig for this round to work on the website for the fantasy football league I run.

It's a shame it ended this way, but the cold winter months would be the best time to run such a thing, as previously mentioned.

I was really shocked with the outcome of that round. When I made that sig I thought I was for sure out, and yours was so cool with the gears...it is much more creative than the one I made. Skywalker and I were talking on MSN and she said to me: "Why did everyone vote for #2, #5 is so much better!!" but she didnt know she was totally dissing mine when she said that. :laugh:

I think mine was too thematic, I was like, "I know, the gears are grinding in his head as he calls plays! I'll put gears on it! Everyone will think it's awesome!" When they put mine up next to yours I knew I was out because in contrast yours had more color and was a tad bigger (sounds like a personal issue, but I digress). Anyway, I don't think anyone can really make an AWESOME Mike Shannahan sig for petes sake, even if you have gears on it!:D That's funny about the unintentional diss, but I think you won it fair and square.
