we are defintley going to need one, Kitna would be ideal. I always liked the guy. Hes prob take a backup job also. Feeley will be avialble from Philly also

Dear God NO!!!!!! Are ya'll crazy or what?? Kitna is a turnover machine and cannot throw a deep out to save his life. That would be a HUGE mistake if we brought him in next year. I couldn't even imagine seeing Kitna behind center wearing a bronco uni if Plummer goes down next year.

Next years veteran back up like it or not is going to be Danny Kanell. He just needs sometime to learn the offense. Actually I think Kanell is good fit for team. Now some might say "Well he was released wasn't he?" Yes however, Danny was the first person that Shanahan called he could of called Jarious who has more experience in the offense but he called Kanell instead that should tell you something.

Let's Draft Ryan Dinwiddie....ahaha. aha...*ahem*

I have seen Ryan Dinwiddie play he just might be a good fit for Denver. I saw the game between Boise State and Fresno State when Carr was a senior and he actually outplayed Carr on his home turf.

Ryan is a good player. He is also the kind of guy we could get after the draft.

I wouldnt mind Akili Smith.
I believe he could become a star in the Nfl with the right coah and system.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean Chubs. I have hunch he get drafted by some team but I have no idea where he ranks right now. Would you mind explaining a little further what you mean about getting Ryan after the draft I interested as what you mean by that.

I don't want the Broncos to be Akilis "fit" The Packers cut him in training camp, and I don't think he has what it take.

Should be interesting to see who it is.

I agree with about Akili, and further more I don't see him being a good fit for the Broncos anyway.

I still think Ken Dorsey is the quarterback to get.

The guy put on 20 pounds and did well for the 49ers in the preseason. The problem is, he's the 3rd stringer behind Tim Rattay.

He should be looked at a lot better.

I admit that Dorsey is smart qb, but I am not sure he has enough arm.

The other issue is that Jake might be the starter for several years.. will we better off drafting one, or picking a capable journeyman?

Who will be willing to wait around in a back-up role.

TXBRONC

I think it would be better to draft a qb. The reason I say that is that if Denver drafts a qb he will more than likely not be ready to challenge for about three or four years by then Jake would be in his tenth or eleventh year and that could work to Denver's advantage.

Ken Dorsey! He reminds me all to much of Griese. Sits in the pocket, and if nobody is open he gets sacked or throws an INT.

That and hes a 49er...

Personally, I think Denver would be a lot better off drafting a qb this year there several that are probably within Denver's reach that the could develope. I also think that Kanell might be worth hanging on to as a veteran back up. I don't think he's starting material but by the end of the year he should know the system fairly well.

I agree completely TX. And there will be kids out there to draft....Symons out of Texas Tech, Rivers out of NC State, Losman at Tulane, Chang at Hawaii, Dinwiddie at Boise and maybe even Greene at UGA. And thats the second tier of QBs that should be available...theres even more in the first.

Hey....what about Lorenzen at Kentucky? :D He may not be the best QB but he'd be fat and jolly!

Symons, Chang, Greene, Rivers, Losman, and Dinwiddie would all be good choices in my opinion. But are yoiu sure Greene and Rivers are not first tier qbs? Greene I think will be gone in the first round Rivers could slip because N.C. State is not having a strong season. The others might all be within Denver's grasp. Of the group you mentioned I like Greene and Dinwiddie the best what's your take?

I think you were only kidding about Lorenzen but honestly to me he just seems to undisciplined and he would have to loose weight.

I say...GET DORSEY. This kid knows how to win. He has enough arm to play at this level. And.....he is smart, he would SOAK up the Denver playbook.

If he can bring winning...give him some. I know we got Jake...but think if we had 2 top notch QB's. (I think Dorsey can be top notch and I already think Jake is, despite his past with the Cards)

We shouldnt pay that kind of money to somebody who wont play that much

Jackson is not very accurate passer, I don't think he was that great of a fit for the team.

Hey CA there are better qb in this year's draft than Dorsey. If Denver got him then Denver would have some of the same problems it had with Griese. A qb who is not very mobile and does not have a particularly strong arm.

Hey TX!

Well, yea, there were a ton of QBs in this years draft that isn't doing squat.

Brad Banks got cut from the Redskins....the Louisville QB I think was cut from the Houston Texan's roster....some guy from Michigan decided to play baseball...

But, when you have a QB...that won 40+ games and only lost 2.....

man..that's just wastefel. My Ken Dorsey rant ends now.

As for Kellen Winslow Jr.......#1 pick by the Broncos!!!

TXBRONC

Winslow, would be a great pick up. But he might be gone by the time Denver picks.

The guy threw 5 yard swing passes his whole career at Texas Tech and let the WR do the work

What about B.J Symons? That guy has a great arm and is extremely accurate. Did I see someone say they would like to have Akili Smith?? You have got to be kidding me! He wasn't even a good college quarterback, even worse in the NFL. Some people amaze me.

Yea, might as well ask for....Heath Shuler!

Simons is a great QB with the confidence as well.

What about Brad Banks? He can run as good maybe even better than Plummer. He probably runs better than McNabb. He wouldn't get to wear is number 7 though

Brad Banks got cut by the Redskins. If he cant make it in that system and beat out some of those awful QBs they have...hes not making it here.

Well, we could trade up for a shot at him. Let's remember, I think Shockey was picked #15 overall.

Lava I disgree. Jarious is a lot of tools to work with, but he is very inaccurate in the passing game. If he were in teams would load up the box and dare him to throw and that would give them great chance to beat the Broncos. Fortunately, Jake is back and its moot point unless he gets hurt again.
