Bucaneers Fan coming to your board as an ally not an enem

    With a few a thoughts

obviously your team is AMAZING, your defense is incredible, even better than the seahawks defense of 2012 if you ask me. Your secondary is elite. And you have a bright young smart high iq qb coming up the ranks who isnt getting the praise of wentz or prescott.. reminds me of my qb

Anyways i came here because im coming to the game this weekend because i wanted to see how jameis does againist the superbowl champs, i know you guys are gonna most likely blow us out, because our defense is terrible. Our qb Jameis tries to make up for our teams shortcomings( terrible kicker), last in points allowed, horrible secondary. ypg. Jameis is constantly having to match touchdowns, i know people outside of tampa and tallahassee hate him because lets face it he is a polarizing figure, he did dumb things in college, was accused of sexual assualt, but he has the football iq of peyton manning. And believe it or has changed for the better since being drafted

Right now Jameis is on pace for 4,974 passing with 43 td's and is the youngest starting qb in the nfl. he currently is tied with drew brees with 8 td passing

what are you thoughts on jameis winston as a player, and also his comparison from the draft marcus mariota... you can be as negative as you want. Im on social media a lot and i go to a lot of road games, so i use to racial slurs being used at him to mock him

Welcome to Broncos Country! I think it's awesome to see opposing fans stop by for chat here and there. I hope you stick around for a bit.

I admit I haven't seen a lot of Buc football this year so I really am not sure what to expect really. Realistically our offensive line has a lot of developing to do, and Trevor still has a lot more of the playbook to grasp. Offensively I'm a bit worried every week.

Jameis, is a great talent. I was at first highly skeptical of his ability to lead at an NFL pace but, he has repeatedly shown promise.

All I can hope for is a clean game, no injuries, lots of scrapping. Should be exciting!

I am worried about Mike Evans. Like Kelvin Benjamin, his size is hard to match and he is a quick strike guy. A couple early scores that out you up 14-0 would put us in a bad place.

I disagree with your assessment of Winston as smart as Peyton Manning...no one is. Winston reminds me of Matt Stafford, high risk and high reward. Plays with aggression. Makes many turnovers and inflates his numbers because they are playing from behind early.

This is a trap game for us. We must play TB with the same intensity as the second half against Carolina and Cincy.

Ya gotta love Jameis Winston even if he was selling shoes at the shoe store.
He is a delightfully infectious individual.

I think Winston is an emerging talent. He's got good arm strength and good accuracy, although he's not the athlete that Mariota is. He's a solid building block for your team. As far as the game goes, your strength, passing the ball, matches up against our strengths, secondary and pass rush. Whoever wins that battle probably wins the game. Anyway, good luck.

You are kidding right? I live in Tampa and I've heard a lot of things about Jameis .. heck I'm even a NOLES fan myself but to say he has the football IQ of Manning is a laaaaaaaarge stretch. He has great physical attributes and is definitely an athlete in every sense of the word but he isn't nor probably never will be on Manning's level when it comes to "Football IQ"

and since this isn't the smack section, we'll leave his regular IQ out of the conversation but let's just say that he isn't the brightest crayon in the box.

I'll be at the game Sunday, section 220 .... a few of my Buc friends still believe they can win this game. While I know anything is possible in the NFL I would be hard pressed to see Denver come out of here with a loss.

I agree with most of this. Winston from what I have seen this season has shown some nice poise but appears to habe been caught in a bit of a similar situation to Luck. He is a talent who's team has not added enough talent around him. This forces then to try and win games by throwing their respective teams on their backs. Sometimes this works and other times it doesn't. Either way when this scentric plays out we as fans always get to witness the 2 or 3 forced throws each game. Imo - what our team does with those throws will determine the game. If they are intercepted or returned for a pick 6 - it's gonna be one long game for Tampa fans. If the forced throws are caught or at least not intercepted I expect this to be a closer game than most ecpect.

The other element I am not sure Tampa really has an answer for is our pass rush. If we can sack the daylights outta Winston I think that will likely rattle him.

Winston in my eyes has proved that compared to Marcus Mariota, he's the better long term NFL QB at this point. He's a surprisingly good leader for someone with serious character issues coming out of FSU, is a fantastic athlete, and spins the ball very well. He's got a bright future in the NFL if Tampa Bay can put a good defense on the field.
Fire Rick Dennison - This Signature will stay until the worst playcaller in the NFL is gone.

It's week 4 dude...He's not on pace for anything yet. A lot can change between week 4 and week 17.

Kind of telleing and scary that the two QB's with the most TD's have teams that combine for a 1-5 record.

I don't understand this comment regarding these two. There's been arguably one garbage td between the two combined. That was last night. And even still, Brees got it pretty close to make things interesting last night.

                          Week 1: both teams won

Week 2: saints had a close game all game. No garbage td. Bucs had 1 total td and it was their first possession in the second half. Not garbage time even if they're down by 17. That is a lot of time left in the NFL.

Week 3: Tampa was winning for a good part of the game and it ended close with a chance for Tampa to win at the end. And the saints during week 1 provided the one garbage time TD for Brees that I already brought up.

So, they're putting up legit numbers. Not their fault their defenses suck.

It was more of just a general statement.... Anyway putting up big passing numbers isn't always a good thing, it can mean the team has been down a lot and needing to pass to coach back up.

My fear, the Broncos playing to the level of their competition. Happens every time. Just look at the Oakland game. A game, at home no less, they shouldve won handily. I hope the Broncos dont take the Bucs lightly.
