I think we should pick him up if he is still available in the fourth.

Yes please.
He'll be drafted by the Chargers, I'd bet anything......
This guy is hardcore and we are in need of a good fb.
For those who aren't familiar check this out... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft0...ory?id=3210318
Also some highlights on youtube if you search.
shanny wont draft this guy because we have other needs
we really need a player like him because our o-line was awful this year
I know our d was horrible but a pick like this would really help our offense in the long run. Just imagine how it would help our running game.
not to mention those short yardage downs. We would have a go to guy.
Rwarrrrrrrrrr...

He will be taken by the Bills in the top of the third round if he is there, they are anamored with this kid and Buffalo has two of the top third round picks in the draft...

Schmitt has nothing the Broncos would be interested in, he's neither tiny nor weak, and he's far too big and talented.
The Chargers, on the other hand, have built their entire team with players like this, they really know what they're doing.
I look for them to draft the likes of Phillips/Smith, Cherilus, Schmitt and Okam......
Not real important Max, Shanahan recently stated we utilize our tight ends as fullbacks more then use true fullbacks, that is why we are usually capable to make undesired halfbacks fullbacks on the roster such as Sapp, Bell and we have done it with several others. Hall will likely be a fullback next year! I think we have a better chance of drafting a blocking tight end then an actual fullback.
