It's a shame too because overall, the game felt AAA to me. I mean it had its flaws like the broken journal system, lack of dialogue options, and not much in-game content. However, the weaving together of the MP and SP and of course the ending itself overshadowed everything else.

And I heard about the Indoctrination Theory right around the time it was introduced on the BioWare forums. There's no way BioWare planned for the IT to be their true ending from the start. I do however think it's their saving grace, because they could keep the endings exactly the same and come out looking ingenuous by saying "this is what we had in mind all along". Them releasing it as free DLC would make it look even more legit.

I'm still not 100% sold on the IT, though. I think it's simply people trying to make logic of an ending that makes no sense to begin with. But, BioWare would be dumb not to embrace it at this point.

The is mass effect 2 related but i ahve to say it anyway...

The guy that made the load/save part of the game is a ******* retard....

I was playing the suicide mission but Legion died so i loaded a earlier save (4 loyalty mission to go) to change my squad leaders and specialist. I still had the save where legion dies in my files.

So then when i quit the earlier save because i didn't want to replay all the mission again and the save with the suicide mission on was gone and replaced by the early one....

So did i do something wrong or the game screwed me over ?

If you were playing off of the autosave, then yes you are screwed.

Apparently even the voice actors of the game didn't like the ending.

Steve Blum, the the voice actor for Grunt said the ending is "weak" when he did a review for it on Toonami.

For those that don't know, Steve Blum is the voice actor for Tom on Toonami, and Cartoon network is doing a April Fools prank to replace Adult Swim with Toonami.

I don't know how long this will last, but last night(right now in some places) they aired Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, Outlaw Star, Big O, Yu Yu Hakusho, Blue Submarine #6, Trigun, Bleach and Astro Boy.

Yeah I heard about that and I was really sad I missed it. Maybe if AS hadn't put on total bull crap fro the last 10 years I might have been watching.

    Spoilers below.....

Stop reading if you don't want the spoilers....

    Seriously.....

Just chose the Geth over Quarians and Tali killed herself... that was quite a bummer. I felt very guilty afterwards On my second playthrough I'm definitely siding with her, or trying to get myself to the point where I can keep both.

    Again Spoiler...
If you read that's on you...

Ya I did the same, however I have heard if you played ME2 and did stuff and your paragon is high enough, you can actually get both the Geth and Quarion.

    DLC ideas?

I think a cool DLC, outside the obvious ending DLC. Would be a attack on Omega, try in take it back from Cerberus.

I think it's safe to say everyone between 17-30 remember Toonami and enjoyed it.

You can still get both, it all depends on paragon rather you played ME2 or not. ME2 helps more though.

I managed to bring peace between the Geth and Quarians as a full paragon. Although, I imported all the way from ME1.

    Back to Indoctrination

This is for those that haven't seen the video. I saw it for the first time tonight. I already knew and posted some of the things talked about in the video, but completely forgot about the Rachni.

Back on Mass Effect 1 and 3, the Queen explains her indoctrination, the sour notes. The way she describes it, is eerie similar to Shepard's nightmares.

In just because I found this funny:

    Well it's official.

We will be getting a free extended ending DLC this summer.

    http://blog.bioware.com/2012/04/05/m...-extended-cut/

An official press release went out today announcing how we are re-prioritizing the Mass Effect 3 post release content schedule to provide a more fleshed out experience for our fans. For many of you the “Extended Cut” will help answer some questions and give closure to this chapter of the Mass Effect story. Oh and it’s at no cost to you – the fan.

Here is a mini FAQ to help you understand what the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is and isn’t:

What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey.
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.
When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?
Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.
Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story.
So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding.

    Summer is coming…
