Heh I posted before Jetzrazor did lol. Haven't seen the 2nd one yet and I really enjoyed the 1st one. Is the 2nd one good? The critics on Rottentomatoes passed it so I shall be seeing it sooner or later.
    Thanks IEWT!!!!!!

IM2 was good maybe not as good as 1 but good enough it was definitely a good action flick and not to mention Scarlett johanson in a tight black suit what more could you ask for?

Why does every, single, new movie , SUCK??? Every one. I don't get it? Is it because Marvel is just overexposing these Superhero Movies?

more like mass producing them at this point. they know they will sell tickets, they know there are millions of fanboys and girls out there that have waited decades to see their favorite super heroes on the big screen.

this is why we have so many reboots, sequels, spin-offs, and mass gathering movies already made or in the works.

i'm more inclined to say it's Marvel pushing these because DC isn't gunning so hard and they're taking their time making GOOD movies (i.e. Nolan's success). even when DC fails, it's still a decently acted and put together film (Superman Returns).

also the casting is very shoddy too. it's like they're taking whoever is cheap and they've worked with already. with someone as iconic as Captain America you would think you could get someone better than Chris Evans...

they also seem to be cookie-cutting them like Hollywood cookie-cu "horror" flicks these days. quickly cast, written in a weekend, and shot in a few months with little to no effort put in.

now, the only hope a few of these have is the directors. one of them, can't remember which, has Zach Snyder, and another has a pretty decent one as well. But now that Favreau is out, Iron Man is going to be worse unless they get a really good director that fights the studios back.

Studios no longer care about preserving what's already there, or they would make super hero movies that actually depict the super heroes we all grew up loving. they would take time to write great scripts and cast people who can act and score them correctly. instead we get Sam Raimi and Chris Evans etc. and NickelBack thrown on a soundtrack. The Spiderman soundtracks are such a joke. every one of them have just basically taken the top 10 artists from the Billboard Top 100 that summer seemingly.

anyway... it spans across genres. horror, action, romantic comedies, comedies. everything is about blood and gore, explosions, sex and how raunchy a joke can get... but none of it is actually scary, entertaining, gripping, funny or good. mass produced, easily and cheaply made and a LOT of return on their investments. because we the movie goers won't do anything about the horrible quality.

This. Very few 'genuine' movies are made anymore. The majority are stereocast popularity contests that survive only on 'dumb' humor, celebrity, and expectation.

I consider 'genuine' recent movies as like the Batmans, Harry Potters, Hangover(which suffered many of the faults you said, but was funny enough to hold its own), I can't really think of anything else off the top of my head, Broncos are on

Well, hopefully they don't screw up the next Batman, if there is a next Batman.

Looks like this one is going to be directed by Shane Black of "long kiss goodnight" and "kiss, kiss, bang, bang" fame.

So far scheduled for a 3 May '13 release, but I don't know much more than that, or even what the plot is supposed to be. I hear there's going to be an Iron Patriot in it, also hear the Mandarin is supposed to be in it, but who knows.

I'm shocked I haven't seen this thread before now.
