    I like Herzlich too.
I don't know why you don't like Foster.. He's a very fluid player in coverage, excellent tackler, leader on defense, great instincts, and sheds blocks well. He isn't an elite athlete, but honestly he has more than enough speed to be a very effective player in coverage...
The main point is that as a 4-3 OLB...there is a very good chance that Herz/Carter/Foster and some other guys will be more successful than Von as a 4-3 OLB, and be available in the 2nd or 3rd round.

See i really wish Bruce Carter didnt get hurt and Herzlich didnt get cancer that made this draft disappointing to me. Foster just doesnt jump off the page to me. He seems more like a 3-4 coverage LB to me then a coverage 2 OLB. I dont feel like he fits the scheme. I honestly dont want Miller that badly yet where we are ild rather have him then anyone else I want to drop back and get a LB in later rounds.

I want an LB with better sideline to sideline abilities thats mainly it.

Foster spent so much of his time going sideline to sideline. And that pretty much was one of the biggest things regarding Martez Wilson.
Bruce Carter will be fine as 4-3 LB, Herzlich too.
In all honesty, I think as far as coverage ability/run stopping ability, and sideline to sideline ability goes...Woodyard fits the bill pretty well.

Yeah maybe its hard since we dont know with the new scheme who fits where and the real needs and with no CBA neither do the new coaches really (game film cant tell all).

I rarely like drafting players coming off injury and after DT drafting a player with a major ACL tare is a bit of a red flag. I dont think I want too take a shot at Carter. He was the real deal for a team moving to a more coverage 2 scheme. That and Herzlich before the cancer was beyond compare, I almost felt we might have a new Al Wilson. Leadership skills off the charts and an ability to do everything yet hes lost a lot of steps so its a bit disappointing.

I think he can still be an Al Wilson type player. I'd say pre-cancer he had Brian Urlacher potential, and I think he can still come back and play at a relatively high level.
He is slowly getting better, so it might be a project but it could be worth it.

some of you are way to worried about a player fitting into "our" system. How many systems have we had in the past 5 years? By my count 5. So even if he isn't the greatest fit today, next season or the season after he might be perfect. Another thing......Players that can rush the passer will fit in any scheme. It's as simple as that. Von would be a great pick. While fairley is my #1 want, I would be ok with Von, or either of the stud dline players. But some of you really need to start warming up to this pick IMO. I think that there is a strong chance that Von is a Bronco. I think elway is going to look hard here cause he is a pretty safe pick and he needs to get this started with a solid selection
Thanx Blondie79 for the sweet Sig....Love it and I will rock it with pride

completely agree, if he can be a great OLB in the 4-3 and the coaches believe that, i couldnt care less if he is wasting his best attribute on this team.

im sure fox and the DC will devise plays that let miller get after the QB every so often perhaps like we did with gold

but again millers plan is not always the same as the broncos and id rather it be the broncos way

I really want Dareus or Fairley but would be happy with Miller also he had a great combine and seems like a very safe pick
