I feel bad. My brother is a Jets fan, several of my best friends are Jets fans, a ton of people I work with are Jets fans... and now they're all miserable. I want to be celebrating (like taking the rest of the day off and doing some day-drinking) but I feel bad doing a victory dance in front of people this depressed.

Seriously? Just as Tebow was getting the QB job last season ... he traded away the best WR on the team. Elway has done nothing but sabotage and undermine Tebow from day #1. He wanted him gone, and now the job is done.

You can tell this is difficult for Elway and he does like him... Tebow would be Mannings back up right now if it was not for the Tebow fan's. Tebow fan's did this to Tebow.

If jags wanted him a lot more, They would have offered more...They just do not value him more then that a amount.
LOL. Read my post again. I said I did NOT think Elway screwed him. Someone saw my screen name and made a quick assumption, ay? ;-)

You seriously don't think that Denver could have gotten a 4th or 5th round pick for him ?
Absolutely not, or we would've taken it. Do you really think after paying him 7 mil that we would've just let him walk if we coulda got something in return.
Heck no one was willing to before the season, let alone after he sucked so bad during. Yes some teams who needed fill ins were willing to pick him up when we released him but nobody was willing to give us picks for him that at all especially that late in the season when he would be a fa afterwards. He wasn't worth it. At best we had to keep him and pay him another 2 mil and get a compensatory but that meant he stayed in the locker room and we had moved on to Tebow and it wasn't good for the locker room so for the sake of moving on with TT we cut him loose and got whatever we could for Lloyd and got them out of the locker room.

People were willing to pick him up and pay 2 mil but no one was willing to give us picks or we woulda got em

That WR wanted out, he didn't want to play WR in a Tebow led offense. He was going to be a free agent and would have been lost for nothing. The team chose to get something in return, rather than let him go for nothing. It had nothing to do with sabotaging Tebow. Let go of the victim complex.

That sucks. I was hoping he would go to Jacksonville. That NYC media is crazy.

Oh well. I wish him the best. He brought us some unbelievable excitement last season. Good luck Tim.

We shouldn't be too hard on Tebow. He brought us one of the best games since the last superbowl, and no one can argue he brought excitement to a team that was in desperate need of it after a couple years of Orton. I'm thankful for that. I have a feeling he will improve as a passer and eventually be a good and maybe even great QB, but it's years down the road.

PM is a massive upgrade in the short run. Elway got what he could for Tebow, and we move on. I wish Tebow well and am quite happy he's taking the Tebowners with him!

I can only hope Tebow some day becomes a great QB and makes his way back to JAX some how. I will be pulling for him while still continuing to hate the Jets. I don't believe that organization will know what to do with such a great person with an even greater character.

I don't know why you would wish JAX on anybody, much less a QB you like.

He traded away the best receiver, because the receiver didn't want to play with Tebow. Go look at Lloyd's quotes after he left. He couldn't wait to leave town. How can you say that was sabotage? Elway knew Lloyd was going to leave at the end of the season, so he got what he could for him.

Come on Tebowites, keep making up lies.

Peyton Manning is certainly a massive upgrade in the short term. And to those saying Elway is screwing Tebow are crazy. The worst thing for Tebow would have been being stuck in Denver for the next 3 years when/if Manning retires only to have Elway not want to start him then. Elway wasn't a believer. Good for Elway letting go of Tebow and giving him a chance with a team that potentially believes in him more.

Additionally, the best thing Elway could have done for Tebow was to get rid of him QUICKLY. Now his new team can scheme knowing they have Tebow on their team.

Tebow had a memorable season with the Broncos and I hope the fans in Denver can appreciate that for what it was. Sure there's bad fans that came along with my boy Teebs, but don't let that spoil the great excitement he brought this past year!

Word. There were some edge-of-your-seat games in that run!

And TT will see the field more in a Jets wildcat then he would ever see sitting behind Manning, so he comes out in a much better position to show his stuff.

seeing as they had about 4 or 5 teams going after him and only got the 4th, makes me think he just had no value. Remember fans don't set the market for players.
