Another great year for the NHL playoffs, I love how unpredictable it has been so far. (at least from my perspective)

This pens - philly series is probably one of the best things to happen to hockey in the US in a long long time.

wouldn't it be better if it was close?

or are you referencing espn's interpretation of the NWO penguins?

The Wings don't have anyone willing to any of the dirty work along the boards. The Preds just outmuscled them all game. They can't get guys down low, they're being forced to take shots from way out, and Rinne is playing lights out in net.

And John Tortorella was right about the Pens, they'll have their guys make dirty hits, but if someone does it to their team, they scream bloody murder. They're lucky Laviollette played it classy and didn't try to take out one of the Pens star players.

The NHL would salivate over a 2nd round matchup featuring:

    Boston vs. Philly

    New York vs. New Jersey

What do you call Grossman fishing the knee out there in the 2nd trying to take Neal out of the game? Don't listen to everything espn tells you. No one tried to apologize for Asham what he did was stupid you need to defend your guys but not like that. The Pens paid for it with two goals and two players kicked out, but they gave them calls for the rest of the game anyway.

It's easy for them to get the Pens to do stupid stuff because they know they'll go nuts defending Crosby, which personally I don't have a problem with, guy missed a whole season with a scary injury.

You're right about the knee incident, I forgot about that. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if Neal is forced to sit out a game by the NHL. It's one thing to leave your feet on a blindside hit, but to then go make a run at Giroux right after that, not smart.

I was shocked when Crosby grabbed ahold of Hartnell. I was literally shouting at my TV "Sid, do you realize you've had a problem with concussions?"

I know It was pretty clear they were all out of their minds at that point. Fortunately Adams decided to make an ass of himself (hair pulling?! smh) so Crosby didn't get his head handed to him. Guins weren't mature enough for a series like this, no doubt about it.

Still pissed lol. Shouldn't have got that seed with the 3rd best record Sigh I'll run out of excuses eventually.

In Sid's defense Hartnell wouldn't let go of his stick

Pretty remarkable this game is being played at the Staples Center.

Lakers game was still going on around 5. This game started at 8:30.

They had to take apart the court, set up the rink (glass, etc..), setup the seats for hockey, clear people out, clean up somewhat, re-stock vendors, etc....
