No team in the NBA averaged 110+ PPG last year, that's crazy talk.

Not even Denver/OKC/SA who have great offenses.

Lakers need a spot up shooter BADDDD. I say if they trade for D12, they gotta find a way to do a sign and trade to involve JJ Redick.

If Nash,Bryant and Howard is on the same team next season,i would be convinced the Lakers will be hanging another banner up at Staples Center. That would be downright crazy if Howard somehow came to the Lakers.

Well I've adopted the Brooklyn Nets as my team along with the Knicks. I had hoped the Knicks got Nash because the Nets are making big moves and Jeremy Lin may go to Houston. At the same time, I didn't want to lose Iman Shumpert in a trade. The Lakers got a great short term deal to usher out the Kobe Era.

Anyone but the Heat, but I hope Howard comes to BK.

    Top priorities for LA now:
Sign Grant Hill to the vet min (this is highly likely)
Resign Jordan Hill via bird rights (LA is trying to do this too)
Use midlevel on Billups, Heinerich, or Delonte West (need a combo guard that plays D to back up Kobe and Nash)

I am a huge Steve Nash fan. The guy is a flat out cool dude. He is a success story in so many ways. He is bright and thoughtful, and handles situations as smartly as anyone. I sure wish he and his mates could have won one in Phoenix. Sure looked good, up until that screwy night in San Antonio, when his mates came to his side. Oh well, I digress.

As a canuck I really wanted him to play for The Raptors. They would have been a decent team. But even though I am not a Laker fan, I kinda hope Steve gets his title.....finally. In fact, he will be a good influence on Kobe. Not like Kobe will become one of my favs, but Steve Nash can influence him, not just on the court.

Doesn't Toronto have a good/great PG in Calderon?

Nash can still be huge for the Lakers just like Kidd was for the Mavs. Point guards with a high basketball IQ can be effective on good teams until they can't run up and down the court anymore. Look at how big of a deal Fisher was for the Lakers. Nash may not be the defender that Fisher was, but he's going to be way more effective on offense. They need Nash, because they run a more traditional offense now. I seriously think it's a big deal. I don't think they'll beat OKC though.

If the Lakers somehow end up with D12, we will have officially entered NBA jokathon status.

    Free agent.

They just got Kyle Lowry, a very good young PG.

Everyone talking Dwight to LA~ that's not Mitch's style, they're more patient than that. They're gonna keep this core together at least until they find out how it does.

Also, Dwight really does not want to be a Laker. Reportedly, Kobe told him he'd be an offensive option behind himself and Pau. Dwight balked. I doubt that will change..

When did he become a FA? I haven't read anything about him being a FA. ESPN & CBS Sports don't list him as a FA

Thats true, however his experince of the game can elevate them back to chip status if healthy and of course with 1 more added soild player....

Calderon is fine...and they are adding to the team as we speak. But Nash would have made them respectable while filling the seats. Now Plan B is in effect, and it won't be nearly as accelerated. But I do believe they have the makings of a solid team going forward, as their recent draft picks start to shine.
