    Kevin Vickerson

Am I wrong in thinking that Kevin Vickerson hasn't gotten as much credit from us fans as he deserves this season? He isn't in the class of some of the elite DT's in the game, but he has most definitely been serviceable this season. It seems like most of the run plays that get stuffed he is involved.

I think he needs to be re-signed next year as I think he plays well in this system!

I agree re-sign him in off season to nice contract. Seems to me each and every year he's been improving.

I'm a huge Vickerson fan! I hope we re-sign him to atleast a 3yr deal. He's stuffing the run, he's getting a little pressure in the backfield and he's done a good job of sniffing out screans. Pay Da Man!!!

Now that he has the weight back he is playing beastly. If he can stay healthy we should think about extending him

This defense is SO close to being dominate (elite). We are just 2 or 3 pieces away.

its crazy to look at all the good corners we have. Chris harris and tony carter are playing incredibly well and bailey/porter are great obviously.

I saw a interview with Vickerson, and he said something about he didn't like being that light, he couldn't anchor down like he did when he was bigger. Glad to see Big Vick back.

Vickerson has been playing great and the saints didn't even activate bunkley for this game after giving him that big contract. I didn't see that coming. Guess thats why I'm a fan and not a gm.

No doubt about that. If are defense can play like this against elite QB's we will be playing in Super Bowl come Feb.

Whatever it is it is working.

I hesitate to call this defense elite. We don't get a consistent pass rush and we aren't great at MLB or Safety. Certainly we have played well in stretches, but tonight New Orleans hurt themselves a lot by dropping passes they should catch. Peyton also helps this defense tremendously. Sustaining drives of 90+ yards and keeping your defense off the field makes a mediocre defense look extraordinary.

I hope you guys are right, I just want to see play and outcomes like tonight on a consistent basis.

Vickerson has that nasty attitude you want in the trenches.

He'll talk junk and hoop and holler, which I think can be a huge motivator for the younger guys. He's not bad at stopping the run, and has a good motor, too.

Got to agree, Vick has been disrupting run games up the middle/stretch plays non-stop this year. Playing with a great motor and looks just massive to other lineman.
