I don't see drafting another QB this year unless someone big falls. I think Dysert is the future.

I like the idea of drafting a badass center, moving Franklin to G and Clark to other T when Clady gets back. I think that might have the potential of being the best O-line in the history of the game.
Maybe it looks like this: Clady, Vasquez, C, Franklin, Clark... Pretty tough lineup.
Can Franklin pull?
Can Chris Clark deliver an effective down block on a 3 tech?
How high of a draft pick or how expensive a FA will be used for a Center, and will he beat out Manny?

Daryl Smith
CSN Baltimore considers the Broncos and Titans potential suitors for free agent ILB Daryl Smith.
Smith led the Ravens with 123 tackles last season, adding five sacks and three interceptions while starting all 16 games. He's expressed interest in re-signing with Baltimore, but is expected to test the open market. Smith is likely to command a multi-year deal after playing on a one-year, $1.13 million contract in 2013.
Per rotoworld.
I'd prefer to sign an ILB rather than draft one.

A solid ILB would be nice to round off our stellar OLB's. Make than another area of strength for this team. With the interior line solid, with good, not great DE's and a really good LB core the D will improve tenfold over last year.
A good draft with some decent depth and players in the secondary we can turn this thing around and make it back to the big game.sigpic

My FA plan
Let's say we free up 15-20 mil more in cap room on top of the 12 we got now.
Not counting tenders, internal FA's.
I'd only keep SP and DRC.
Sign SP for 1 year, 2 million.
Sign DRC for 5 years, 35 million.
Signings i'd do.
DE, Michael Bennett, Seahawks.
Versitale defender, had a huge year with Seattle. Just said he wont take a hometown discount. Sign for 4 years, 32 million.
WR, Hakeem Nicks, Giants.
3 years, 12 million.
Might be less than expected but we'll see. Some other options out there. With Decker's tweet, i figure he's gone.
Daryl Smith, LB, Ravens.
2 years, 9 million.
Had a great year, smart player, shouldnt be massively expensive but not cheap either.
Jon Asomauh, OG, Chiefs.
4 years, 12 million.
Had a good year to start and then got hurt, Schwartz replaced him and he never got to play again. KC can only keep one of him or Schwartz, i think. Replaces Beadles who gets more than we can offer.
Darren McFadden, RB, Raiders.
Just a cheap, 1-year deal to backup Ball.
None of this will happen but outside of DRC/Bennett, all of the others shouldnt cost that much.

As for ILB.....I've wanted a quality player back there for years, and sadly, we came up short this season. I don't know what happened to Woody.....I was quite high on him. But he basically disappeared, and Lenon is not a starter. Not sure yet about Irving, but my gut tells me he is not "the guy" either, although he could be a reasonable starter going forward. Also, lets see if we can find a pressure DE/OLB to create more havoc.
All in all, lets get aggressive in FA, and smart in the draft, and find at least one quality player for each of the defensive units - dline/lbacking/dbackfield.
I am sure we will be losing a number of players, or at least, will be cutting some salaries.....notably Champ. There will be money, and Elway wants to win badly!:lombardi:2019 Adopt-A-Bronco: Dr. Dre'Mont Jones
