i said it last year that there were things that i didnt like seeing such as no adjustments between periods and total lack of defense. i was told by a couple of people on here that i was overreacting. i didnt feel that way at all and this year is proving my point.

they cant trap defensively worth a darn and now the forwards arent scoring.
at what point do you trade orielly?
i never liked the actual trade for johnson even though i like him.

If you had wrote that post 2 weeks ago I would have agreed.

The defense is improving (Berra has just been terrible the last 3 games he's played) and our forwards are now scoring. We've won 4 of our last 5, 3 of those games with backup goaltenders.

Pickard has done really well and Berra is sending himself down to the ahl.

yeah i had turned the channel last night when they were down 2 or 3 to 0. gabe is hopefully out of his scoring drought. sounds like the puck bounced their way last night too after the first period.

hope this is the start of their turn around

Tonight's probably their best game of the season so far. 45 shots so far, 5 goals and they've allowed 19 shots through the 14th minute of the 3rd period. Dallas isn't great but probably better than their record indicates. 2 PP goals in the 3rd and Pickard is looking pretty good.

They send Pickard down after he saves our butts in a couple games and Bera plays like crap? Bad decision, imo. Pickard earned a shot, Bera needs to work on his technique.

Look forward to my Jets playing in Denver tonight. I have to be honest, our guys are really playing good hockey of late. Should be a fun game!

The Jets have taken us behind the woodshed the last couple times we played.

The Avs eventually made the right decision and brought Pickard back up who played very well. We've looked a ot better overall since shuffling the powerplay around and Varlamov looked sharp in his first game back (nice to shutout St. Louis 5-0). Definitely should be fun, Can.

Yeah, I too enjoyed the shutout of STL. Then I was brought back to reality a couple games later when STL shut out the Avs.....

Avs have been playing much better as of late.

Finally back over the .500 mark last night. Can't remember if that's the first time all season.

Still at the bottom of the division but can pass DAllas with a head to head win tomorrow afternoon.

Only 4-5 points out of a playoff spot. I think they can still make a strong push second half to get firmly in before seasons ends.

Great comeback last night. They're starting to pull it together. 4 pts behind Calgary.

Just call it like I see it.
I don't see this team making the playoffs.
    Thanks for the input though.
