Thanks to all for sharing tips on visiting Denver on this forum!
We made the trip for the Broncos vs. Texans and had a great time. Sharing a few of the highlights:
Denver Broncos Training Center at Dove Valley. The lobby with the trophy case is amazing - what a treat to see the three Lombardi trophies. They give you free posters - we got posters of Pat Bowlen and Danny Trevathan/Brandon Marshall. There is a team store attached to the field house.
Dinner at Bull & Bush in Cherry Creek. Casual dining and we enjoyed the prime rib.
Black Hawk and Central City. Just a short drive west of Denver. I'm not a gambler and the casinos have taken over the landscape. Still enjoyed seeing these mining towns. The view from the hot tub deck of the Ameristar Casino Hotel is amazing - just ask someone from the hotel for access to the pool.
Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave. The overlook from the parking lot is spectacular - great views of Golden and the Coors Brewery.
Parking Lot M - this is a cash lot and fills up fast. If you do not have permit parking or advance purchase this is a nice lot. We got there before gates opened and the lot filled up in about 90 minutes.
Since we traveled and weren't setup for tailgating we walked to Brooklyn's - only a few minutes walk from the Parking Lot M. They have outdoor seating and the weather was amazing. We spent a couple of hours there visiting with Broncos fans and sipping our favorite beverages.
Old Chicago Pizza & Tap Room - close to our hotel and my buddy had a friend in the Hall of Foam so he wanted to check out his name plate.
Union Station downtown was a nice starting point. Since the game was Monday we spent a good part of Sunday walking bar to bar watching football. Sports Column was a good spot with plenty of TVs and they have an outdoor deck upstairs.
There's so much to do and never enough time!
Enjoy your trip to Denver and the Broncos
