    Ryan Harris Retires

I know he wasn't a Bronco in 2016, so the inclination would be to put this in Other NFL teams. But given that Ryan Harris was twice a Bronco and the starting left tackle for a Super Bowl Championship, and he's retired, I thought it might be okay to post it in here.

Offensive tackle Ryan Harris announced his retirement on Friday.

Harris, 31, signed with the Steelers last year but was limited to five games in his final season by injury.

“With gratitude and clarity I have decided to retire from the NFL,” Harris wrote on Twitter Friday. “I am forever grateful to the teams, teammates, and their medical staffs.”

A third-round pick of the Broncos in 2007, Harris played in 115 career games for the Broncos, Texans, Chiefs and Steelers. He was a starter in two different stints with the Broncos and also started 15 games for the Chiefs in 2014.

He had a really good career, the only real bright spot for us out of the 2007 draft.

When Ty Sambrailo went down after the third game in 2015 and Ryan Harris had to flip sides, I was skeptical because he had been a Right Tackle for almost his whole NFL career. He did a good job. Thanks, Ryan.

Solid career, glad he could return to Denver and win a Super Bowl.
