    The only thing that makes what they did smart is trading him.

    If they release him, people need to be fired.

    A 2018 2nd round pick and a 2017 6th round pick are not worth $16 million.

    The lower salary cap was probably why we never saw it. That and the pure insanity of paying a guy $16mil to never ever step foot in your facility, lol! But now that the cap is so high, teams like CLE and SF have to basically burn their money to stay above the floor.

    Ouch, sucks to be Brock. But then again he's laughing all the way to the bank with his $16 million.

    The browns are not even close to cap trouble. 16 million is nothing to them right now.

    It's still $16 million to a player they don't want and two picks that aren't worth that much combined.

    Haslem needs to fire people.

    Yeah, I was going to say Brock’s the big loser in all of this...but is he really???

    Cleveland will likely cut him and some team desperate for a bench warming arm canon with a crooked barrel, will sign him for some table scraps.

    And where do they spend the money to get to the floor? They have to spend money and when people don't want to go to Cleveland they still have to spend money. So they bought a draft pick.

    They are still sitting on a stupid amount of money of 80+ million.

    Oz the human being doesn't care, he gets paid regardless.

    Oz the footballer, fears for his career.

    The football side of him is regretting leaving Denver, Denver would have worked with him and not dumped him if he was just meh.

    But he wanted the money, just like Matt Flynn. He got the money, but probably won't be near the playoffs again...Unless the Browns get smart.

    And correct me if I'm wrong, but if he is cut and signs somewhere else, that cuts into CLE's cap responsibility correct? So be could sign somewhere for $3mil and that drops the Brown cap hit to $13mil right?

    I'm surprised they didn't spend some of that money to re-sign Pryor. It was starting to look like the main reason they spent all that money for the second was to acquire ammunition to trade for Garoppolo. Both parties are denying it, but why wouldn't the Patriots deal Garoppolo for the right price? He's not going to be Tom Brady. Taking the picks and building your team is probably a better option than handing Garopplo the ball down 25, and expecting him to win a game for you like Brady does.

    Supposedly Belichick wouldn't trade 4 first rounders for Garoppolo.

    I hope he stays in NE now. Can't wait for the great unveiling after Brady retires.

    Apparently there may have been a "physical confrontation" between Oz and Obrien before the trade. A couple different sources are saying there was and both Oz and Obrien (according to articles) decline to comment when asked about it.

    Let's see:
    refused to re-sign with the team that just won the Super Bowl and whose QB retired;
    wanted to play in a system where he would make calls from the gun at LOS;
    got into an angry confrontation with his HC at halftime of the last regular season game;
    was traded to the Cleveland Browns;
    and, might be traded again.
    Nice work.
