However, if Foster was indeed ill and drank too much water trying to keep his weight, he might not have any drug abuse issues despite this dilute sample being considered a failed test.
Damn proud to be a Phi! Brother in the Bond #105 Texas Tau
I think you give the kid a pass on this failed drug test. My biggest issue is that if the sample is diluted, get the kid back in and have him pass another test. I know there are lots of players tested at the combine but processing urine is not rocket science or a lengthy procedure.
NFL Draft: 2015 / Round: 1 / Pick: 23
Now it is my turn to try and remember back....I believe this was the pick where we traded Ramirez to the Lions along with our 1st to move up.
One other thing which I thought was interesting and I was wondering if this might make some sense. If a player wants to go to a team which wins being drafted higher is not a great thing. Based on my numbers I found from 2016:

The difference between a 1- 10 and 10-20 pick is about 10-17 million over the life span of the players contract. Now if you look at those numbers from a short-sited perspective then you say to heck with that I want to go higher and make more. The issue with that is unless you can overcome what will inevitably be poor play around you and shine you will likely not get the second even larger contract you're looking for. The way you do that is by playing for a better team with better players. So you have to wonder if and this is a big IF fosters agent has determined that Foster would prefer to win more games and make a little less and that is why the dilute sample issue came out so far after the combine?
I get the privacy issue but in all honesty why not tell the guys we are having a person in the room when you give the sample. These guys are poked prodded and everything else, that seems like a sure way to prevent the dilute sample or not enough sample debate.
Simple answer just do a blood or hair test.
