All of these homer bandwagon fans who show up the week prior to our games and dissapear as soon as we beat them.
Very annoying listening for a week on how we will be beaten, only to prove them wrong and never be able to laugh at them.

I found that same post on the Jaguars board.Originally Posted by MoFo_JoRo

But the problem this board has always had when we have big games is the stupid immature "we will win nahnahnahnah" fans who say that and then dissapear when we do beat them.
I honestly just wish the fans would be as respectfull as the Jets fans were when I was in Denver (though I think they knew they were gonna get crushed) I sat and disccused their season and how they could possibly win, and it was actually fun. That is why I post here, I hope to find more posters who like drawn out discussions and not the stupid we will win cuz we won the last game. I truly belive that every team has a chance to win any game, even the Texans against the Colts this year. If you dont belive that watch the movie Miracle, 9 outta 10 times the U.S would have lost, but they only needed one game. That is the playoffs. You have ONE chance, any team has a chance, and whehter or not you have John Elway and Barry Sanders suitin up for you (thank the lord you dont) we have a chance to beat you.
I just wish you the best of luck to an injuryfree game, that way the winner can say he played his heart out and beat a good team and not becuase of some freak injury (Steelers and Bengals....)

I think it's kind of neat that fans from a bunch of different teams have come here to wish us luck. They aren't necessarily bandwagoners but if their team is out, why not route for someone still in?
That's what I would do.
As the teams are eliminated the one's still alive gain fans from around the league for whatever reason. Mainly I would assume they hate the opponent more than the team they are routing for.
Just a guess but we should welcome most of these fans.
The Steeler and Patriot fans are starting to show up in force and that is somewhat expected. A little surprised more Colt fans aren't here.

Brady is 10-0 in the playoffs. The Pats have won more consecutive playoff games than any other team in NFL history. If Patriot fans weren't confident then there would be something wrong with them.
The Jets fans were by far my favorite this year. While we were crying 'Trap Game'... they were saying 'No way, guys... we couldn't possibly beat you... this game is truly going to suck for us'... They were hilarious! Yet they were extremely nice and wished us luck on the rest of the season... Some real classy fans.Originally Posted by MoFo_JoRo
I've found some good intelligent Patriot fans discussing here, and I've enjoyed that. I've also enjoyed the fact that there are fans of the Colts and Steelers wishing us luck... and even a few other teams popping in to wish luck as well. Also seen a lot of new member show up to say hi and good luck...
Amazing what the playoffs can do...
It's amazing what a new QB and a few wins can do to your memory...
Does anyone not remember when the Patsies had Bledsoe and we Fu**in' OWNED them like no ones bidness!!! I think they beat us like once or twice or something like that....
....oh then they get Jesus...ooopps I meant Brady....and they think cause they win a couple of S.B.'s they own us...????????![]()

I don't believe that Pats fans think we are gonna come in and own you. Obviously we all know that it's a very very tough game for us (I was actually hoping for Indy!) - so the respect is there. That being said, we also believe in our team so when we see discussions on here, or our own forums or wherever - we are going to defend our team and provide discussion supporting them. It doesn't mean we don't respect the opposition or think we are going to roll over them. Hell, I don;t care if we are playing the Brocos or the Jets - I know any team can beat any team on a given day depending on how both teams play and other circumstances of the game. I also know that during Playoff time - every team is going to bring it - my reasoning for being cautiously optimistic about the Jags game.
IMO we will contain your running game to a point where Dummer Plummer will have to throw. I predict 2 INT's , 1 for a touchdown. After all the hoopla is over during the first half being at home and all, the score will be Bronco's 17 Pats 10, but then in the second half we will kick Bronco's Butts and pull off a close win of Pats 27 Bronco's 20. Better luck next year!![]()

Denver 27-24. Elam kicks a 40 yrd FG as time expires!![]()
Is how people mention all these records that have been made between these two teams, and blahzae, blah, blah. All that is good and important to a certain extent, but when them players step on the field Saturday night, its up to them to come out perform on that elite level. Can they do it? Of course they can, they've shown it all year. But what's gonna determine the outcome of this game will be, who plays better DEFENSE. DEFENSE is what wins games, championships, sb's, and all that good stuff. No matter the sport, DEFENSE is the key.

Halloween (Week 7?) 2004 and the Steelers pound the Patriots 34-20 in a win very similar to the win the Broncos had against the Patriots in Week 6 of 2005. Come playoff time last year, the Steeler's Halloween win meant nothing. If you look at the stats from the two games, you'll notice that the Steelers performance against Patriots on Halloween 04 was even more dominant than the Broncos' in 05. One thing that really stuck out to me was the fact that the Broncos did not sack Brady once in Week 6 (compared to the Steelers 4 on Halloween). I think if the Bronco's secondary will be as dominant as they are capable of only if Brady is pressured. In week 6 Brady wasn't sacked and didn't throw an interception. The Broncos have the best chance of winning if they can fluster Brady. I know you can't compare two different teams of two different years, but I was just using it as an example that Patriots are very capable of overcoming an earlier season loss to the same team.

Also, in the Week 6 game the Patriots had the following injuries: Faulk, Dillon, Bruschi, Seymour, and Troy Brown. Back then, Duane Starks got the call in the secondary over Ellis Hobbs. Duane Starks was responsible for virtually all the big plays the Patriots gave up in the first half of the season (including 50 plus yarders to the Broncos if I'm not mistaken). Ellis Hobbs and Artrell Hawkins have been saviors.
Every game that the Patriots have played in the playoffs, they have been able to neutralize the oppenent rushing game. The broncos rushing attack is extremely strong, but if the Pats can weaken it the way they have other playoff oppenents, I think you have to give them the advantage.
