I have been listening to this song ...

    Billy Currington

    People Are Crazy

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaMgb0JMTeo
He said "I fought two wars,
    Been married and divorced"
    What brings you to Ohio?
He said "Damn if I know"
We talked an hour or two
    About every girl we knew
What all we put ‘em through
Like two old boys will do

Great song. Its one of my favorites right now. I also like the song "Toes" by Zack Brown band. It's drawing alot of attention with the word "ass". OMG Great video! I love how Kid Rock is his getaway driver.

They are running this song in the ground.

If I hear it one more time I will throw myself in front of the next passing bus.

    It just came on again.

Probably a good thing we did live on a bus route.

    Miley's new song The Climb.

Love it. Good song but what on earth did she do NOW?

She has more controversy around her?

I was thinking about this in another thread. I have notice alot of old rocker's have been going country. I just think thats great. They have some ok stuff. I mean even Kid Rock went country as well. The one that really knocked my socks off was Robert Plant. Here is a guy who was part of the hard rock history. Led Zeppelin's lead singer gone country . Very cool though. I have always liked country as well as rock to Bach.

Here is Robert with Alison Krauss if you want to listen.

I really like that album. I'm not quite sure he's "gone country" though. Yes, he's teamed up with Alison Krause, but I consider her more of a bluegrass artist (i.e. living legend) than a country artist. That particular song reminds me of some of The Beatles early stuff. But, yes. Very cool.

    Plant & Krause kick ass!!!

Oh, and "rock to Bach"... Love it!!! I'm the same way, but I'd like to amend that and say, "Rock to Bach to Herbie Hancock". I've been listening to some of the tracks off his "Possibilities" album, and I'm really starting to like it. It features the likes of Sting, Annie Lennox, Santana, Paul Simon, Trey Anastasio, John Mayer, and others. Good stuff... but not country. :offtopic:

I think when I siad "Gone country" was a little off base, I have to admit. It was just suprizing to me the first time I heard it. I was listening to a country station and they said his name. I was like, Robert Plant .

Herbie Hancock is some good stuff!

    80's country

    David Frizzell

I'm Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate Our Home

    I love them lyrics ..

    LONG BLACK VEIL

What a classic story telling song .....

    Long Black Veil"

Ten years ago, on a cold, dark night
There was someone killed 'neath the Town hall light
There were few at the scene, but they all agreed
That the man who ran looked a lot like me

She walks these hills in a long black veil
She visits my grave while the night winds wail
    Nobody knows, nobody sees
    Nobody knows but me

The judge said Son, what's your alibi
If you were somewhere else, then you won't have to die
I spoke not a word thought it meant my life
For I'd been in the arms of my best friend's wife

    (Refrain)

The scaffold was high and eternity near
She stood in the crowd and shed not a tear
But sometime at night when the cold winds moan
In a long black veil she cries over my bones

LD got me thinking 80's country

Loved Ronnie Milsap. He always had good songs and I liked his voice. Anyway there were so many I liked. I know I said this before...There Ain't No Gettin' Over Me. Ya right! I'm sure it never took them long
